BeamerBikes got a reaction from + keroscenefire in Holiday travel woes? Done with Southwest?
Sadly, Southwest is still my go-to. My closest airport is one of their major hubs. I got disillusioned with United after they devalued their miles and stratified their loyalty program.
Meanwhile, Southwest feels honest about the process.  Everyone is equally worthless. You want to cash in miles, corresponds to real time pricing.  You want to fly standby or change plans no change fees.  No bag fees.
Yes it's the Greyhound/Megabus of the sky.  Let's face it though most of the big airlines are the same experience if you don't have ongoing spend/status.  If you want to upgrade to Economy Premium Plus Super, it'll cost you but you will still be on the same plane as everyone else.
About the only thing I'll say... I'd pay to have an empty seat next to me on most longer flights on Southwest, but that's the same for any other airline unless you are flying business or first(if there still a first class cabin)

Here tonight for the customer appreciation party.  Good mix of customers.  Busy for Tuesday night prolly due to Holidays and $3/drink special.  Good mix of dancers from what I tell so far.
The shoe goes in phases. I'm hopeful it's in one of the upswing.  I liken it a bit to a gay Cheers with gogo boys.  In amusement, I've invited multiple friends out who then caught other friends who vowed they were staying in.  LOL.

    Well....
We both get naked. Except we're wearing sailor hats.  We get into a jacuzzi filled with pepto bismol, I clip their toenails, and then they shave my buttocks...
I always wondered how much that would cost.  🤣

This kind of attacks where the victim is drugged is currently an international trend. Indeed, we must be careful.
That said, I think you all are over reacting. You are forgetting all the threats we used to have in the past and overblowing this current one. I doubt gay bars are more dangerous now than before. Perhaps we are more fearful.

Eh the shuttle busses weren't an option for my building during that time.  Union Station to IBM now AMA building at 330 N Wabash just on the edge of reasonable walk in your 20s everyday.  The water taxi in the summer was a nice option though.
Moving into the city was seriously considered during that time period.  Ended up subleasing a couple places to make my commute reasonable during busier work/school times.

Also, it's not eradicated either. The African doctor who first raised this as having a sexual component in transmission will confirm. It never went away in Africa.
It's hard to say if it never got a firm foothold in Northern climates before the most active summer flesh on flesh events started to become more infrequent vs how much was due to vaccinations.
End of the day, it can still hop a ride on plane from an outbreak site to Europe and/or US center next summer. I dont know if we seen the last of it.  Hopefully there's enough vaccinated in the highest risk base to make sure it won't cluster up again anytime soon.
Either way, I don't regret my decision to get the vaccine even late.

BeamerBikes reacted to Cooper in Strip Club FAQ could use some updates
    Strip Club Forum members,
Can you help in updating the clubs in the FAQ? Check it out and if you have any current information please share. Some clubs haven’t been updated in several years and, sadly, some are now closed. If you know of a club not reviewed please introduce a thread on it. Try to follow the previous format by posting the club’s name, location, website, and a review of what’s available to the customers.
The FAQ has been very helpful to members who travel to different locations and are looking for strip club entertainment. Thanks to the magic of @RadioRob the threads in the FAQ are not subject to the 2 year no reply rule. Any thread in the FAQ can be replied to.
Any help you can give will be most appreciated. 👍🏼 Reading some of the old club reviews has brought back so many memories.

Followed by a mile long walk to your downtown building where you have to cross the river wind tunnel TWICE!
Coworkers would wonder why I'd spend the money for a monthly parking pass.

Chicago is a whole other animal for dealing with cold weather.
As a native, I have respect for that, but don't miss it.  I still have PTSD from shoveling and throwing salt.

You may have not noticed the increase in Natural Gas prices.  They doubled just after the heating season wound down.
My typical $70 November bill has increased to $160!!!
Definitely plan on keeping an eye on the thermostat this winter and using spot heat for the home office rather than the whole house.  Layer up and put on the electric blanket.
    Ouch in Chicago!

Your friend might also be able to get you access to the Naval Aviation Museum on base.  It's been restricted access since the base shooting a few years back.  It's by far one of the cleanest and well maintained museums for aviation I've visited.  Well worth the hassle to visit if you like military aircraft.

I personally want to leave Chicagoland in February. February is THE WORST.  I had hoped this winter would be the year to spend it in Key West. Sadly, those prices have climbed super high.  Who knows maybe FTL, Gulf Shores, Galveston...

I plan on avoiding winter by spending 5 weeks in warmer climates (3 weeks in Puerto Vallarta at Christmas, 2 weeks in Florida and the Caribbean at Washington's Birthday).

Twitter may not be going anywhere, but advertisers are leaving. Users are starting to look elsewhere. Engagement numbers are up, but a trainwreck brings a crowd.  Financially, I find it hard to see how it will find its way back to a $44 Billion valuation.
Leaving politics aside and definitely out of this discussion.
I'm finding the Mastodon fediverse a different experience than Twitter. Some learning curve with the new platform for sure.  Folks are rebuilding some networks. There's definitely more content moderation occuring depending on instance joined. This may not be sustainable in the long term.
At least one of infosec folks has resecurrected a forum site. Imagine that. Company of Men.  Ha! Forum sites being used in the 2020s.

I moved over my Twitter presence for cybersecurity stuff over to Mastodon because I've joined the club that Twitter will prolly implode badly in the coming months.
50% Layoff and the remaining have to sign a "hardcore" pledge by tomorrow.
Outages are going to be inevitable at this point with that much brain drain.
