  1. I think there's a lot of that in general when you're dealing with gay men on meet-up sites. I have been ghosted on Grindr by people who spent an hour telling me how hot I was and how they wanted to submit to me and let me have my way with them. Clearly jerking off at home and with NO intention of actually meeting up. That component of gay life seems unavoidable. You just have to dig through the bullshit every time you go shopping. Think of it like one of those discount stores where you have to sort through endless rubbish until you find a shirt you like
  2. Back when I was in my 20s and incredibly promiscuous I would hit the "VD Clinic" ( as we called it back then) on a biweekly basis. If you've had a run of bad luck then I'd suggest getting tested regularly instead of waiting until you have symptoms .
  3. The screen name itself is suspect. "Oliver REAL" - In MY experience every provider who puts the word "real" anywhere in his profile is not real. It's always an effort to put lipstick on a pig.
  4. Used to BE in the Apple 🍎
  5. Weather patterns change. Doesn't meant the smoke will be blowing this way for weeks.
  6. I know a bit about that part of the country having grown up there. The "church-going" people are merely geographically associated with the sinful redneck meth dealers. Not one in the same.
  7. Maybe I'm wrong but it tends to be Cocaine, Fentanyl and Heroin that is coming across the border from Mexico. Not meth. Yes, the rednecks cook their own meth.
  8. Was I comparing my belly fat to Rwanda ? @Lucky No I was not. So neither should you. The comment was about the detriment to one's health in response to being forced to stay home for endless months during the Covid19 panic.
  9. Ah ! yes. A very good point. Instagram culture has exaggerated the usual teenage social angst and busy parents who are never home with their kids anymore eliminated the normal emotional support system that older generations enjoyed.
  10. My health certainly suffered. My gym was closed for over a year. I myself drank far more than I normally would. So much so I decided to just STOP for six months to reset my brain. I didn't get outside as much as I normally would and I put on five or more pounds of fat, and I've never had any weight issues in my life. So yeah. Sitting at home for months was definitely causing me more health problems than Covid 19 did. I am unaware of ever having it...although they now say 90% of the population had it even if they were unaware.
  11. Let's not open THAT politically charged topic.
  12. ummm...yeah ! 🙄 That's why I typed "refugees" in quotation marks.
  13. We smelled it and saw it in the air yesterday in NYC but today it's particularly bad. The sky is dark yellow, and it burns to breathe through you nose for long.
  14. Not sure how many of you live in the Northeastern US, and how many are dealing with the spread of smoke from the Canadian Wildfires. But I wanted to share a little observation from today: I'm in NYC and the smoke is fairly dense here. So warnings have been broadcast about being outside. Particularly for "at risk" groups ( Elderly, young children, asthmatics). I'm 52 and in good shape, so I figured I wouldn't so much be affected by the smokey air that I couldn't be outside at all. I walked down to SOHO this morning and back (about 15 minutes both ways), and I have to say I am definitely feeling it in my lungs ! So just wanted to share that with anyone who's experiencing the smoke in their location, that you should take the warnings seriously. It's definitely not easy to breathe out there. Even for healthy people. It's not just a warning for "at risk" groups. Be safe. s
  15. He's pretty damn sexy. Too bad (for me) he's a West Coaster.
  16. Young people in the United States are dying at a SIGNIFICANTLY higher rate than their counterparts in other industrialized nations. Largely due to the rampant spread of drug use in this country, which is primarily coming in from South of the Border - carried by numerous smugglers or (so-called) "refugees".
  17. Handsome guy....but I definitely wouldn't know what do with all that.
  18. I completely understand your point. I also disagree with your perspective. Your viewpoint extraordinarily narrow.
  19. A very good point. He's still wearing those same leather chaps from the 90s too.
  20. Maybe in your social circles, but I hear a LOT of disgust with the media push for transgender visibility in a variety of social circles that aren't gay-centric. Even some of my gay friends say it's too much/ too fast/ too far.
  21. Some of the most "intellectual" people I've met are the most clueless when it comes to social issues. You can be under-educated and worldly, and you can be highly educated and reclusive. Not everything is learned in a book.
