I think it's best to use this rule:
If you've only met in private, only greet in private. If you've met in public, then greet in public.
I think you perhaps assumed his outlook on the greeting would mirror your own. I think it best to err in assuming he would want to keep what was private anonymous as well. I know I expect that from a provider. Unless you are told explicitly otherwise, to assume something to the contrary is in my view presumptive. To assuage your feelings that you should acknowledge him or anyone else in the future, you can instead walk by about your business and send a private text later. Perhaps then he might give permission to greet in public. I think this is an approach that respects his space and also your desire to say, "Hello."

Interesting the subjects that come up in these threads. I am definitely not a fan of tons of tattoos or any tattoos really. Call me simple. To each their own, though, but I have none, and have only a few times had fleeting thoughts of getting one. Truly fleeting, though.
 
With that said, if there is something/someone meaningful that they commemorate, I can appreciate that. I get the sense that it's not because they could ever forget such an event/person as it is creating an opportunity that someone might ask and they relay the story (at least where the tattoos might be readily visible). I'm sure that's only one of many reasons. Then after several tattoos, I think getting them becomes part of a "collection" of sorts to folks, and they keep adding to the collection over time and...well, sometimes it gets really out of control. To someone like me it appears to be a form of self mutilation, but that's an oversimplification to someone who has developed a "connection" that I can't appreciate to tattoos. ??‍♂️

To you, perhaps, and presumably to quite a few other folks. I definitely get what you’re saying. Not everyone comes to this for the same reasons or expectations. In general, yes, it’s about sex for most (but even that’s not absolute). I don’t get the sense that’s all it was about for the OP, and that’s ok if it isn’t. Maybe he wanted a “date.” Maybe he just wanted to feel respected? How dramatic. ? Just like there are providers and clients who are focused only on the gratification of the moment and that’s all, there are others who enjoy connecting in ways that transcend the physical and play a part in their enjoyment. It’s easy and perhaps justifiable to dismiss it or simplify as unnecessary drama if it really is “just sex,” but human interaction is rarely so simple.

Working at a K-Mart during the Holidays some 25-27 years ago. I was a utility. I have never been in a work environment before or since where people were so miserable from the top down. It was totally depressing to me and sad. It's the only job I have ever just quit and walked away from without giving notice.
 
I left it to work for a small utility company where I literally dug ditches. I was much happier even though the work was more physically demanding. My hands stayed calloused and bloody that next year, but I wasn't surrounded by mediocrity and that was a welcomed change.

Over the years I have made numerous movies with my clients… I pulled away from the porn industry because it was taking of me away from Escorting which I prefer tenfold~ I do have a number of clients that I make private movies with… it’s just part of the package of a session if they want it~  It’s just a lot of fun. The content is specifically for them and their own use. If they want they can put it on their profiles… It’s actually kind of endearing when I take photos of clients and they put them on their profiles or put some movie clip up there~  
 Makes me smile remembering good times~ 
 Sometimes I add credits and music and make it a full length feature. There are times when I have brought in camera crew from other studios to film it. They don’t play with us but, they film us. We pay them a little stipend and then send them home. It’s a lot of fun and it gives  people something cheerful to look back on. A little moment for fun shared in life together~ You know… a celebration of our manhood together of sorts~
