  1. If you want warmth in California during the winter, better not to risk northern California. Yes, sometimes we get nice weather during the winter (I remember my first Christmas in San Francisco since I was able to sit outside in a short-sleeved shirt and not feel cold), but lately it's been a chilly mid 50s for a high and a chilly mid 40s for a low. Sure, that isn't Chicago cold but it feels cold to me now, particularly anywhere near the water with the cold wind blowing in. I contrast that to Los Angeles right now, where the high today will be around 80.
  2. I agree with the above suggestions, should you find yourself in this position again: Arrange for him to leave as soon as possible, tell him why you are dismissing him early, and then leave a negative review. If he was just being entitled but not threatening to withhold service that's the basis of your engagement, I would suggest just having a frank discussion. With someone like this, though, that's just throwing good after bad since I doubt he would perform well once his demands weren't being met. I'm puzzled that anyone would hire someone he's never met before for a longer than overnight session (and even that is a risk for an unknown escort). Or, at the very least, it seems like a more detailed discussion regarding expectations needs to happen before the trip is even scheduled.
  3. On a more serious note, what's the angle of this scam? Are they hoping you'll give them your bank's routing number and account number because you believe they'll send you money and then they steal from you?
  4. One of my least erotic massages was from a guy who had multiple paragraphs of highly suggestive text, plenty of provocative photos, and a rate that was close to what an escort would charge. He left his shirt and shorts on the entire time and recoiled when I made any attempt to touch him (such as his legs as he stood by the table). I figured out that he was a con artist when the session ended after a poor therapeutic massage and nothing more. Maybe had I been the guy's "type" he would have provided what he advertised, but I'll never know. On the other hand, I hired plenty of masseurs who had oral sex with me (and sometimes even anal) who just placed run-of-the-mill erotic massage ads. So, to echo the above, don't make assumptions based on what a masseur writes in his ad.
  5. No, my regulars just have online loyalty apps where I can download coupons and accumulate points for discounts on future visits.
  6. Play it by ear. You have no reason to doubt that he was genuinely interested in you, so go with that assumption until/unless you get an indication otherwise. If you don't hear from him and you do reach out to him, it would be best for you to just be direct about your last interaction and ask him if he's interested in seeing you in a non-professional capacity as he indicated. You definitely don't want to find yourself there at the end of whatever transpires with him expecting payment and you thinking you had a date.
  7. Oops. After writing my list I removed one because I realized he's only done straight porn (and porn with trans performers) but I forgot to replace him. Maybe I'll add another multi-orgasmic guy because it's honestly one of the things that turns me on the most: Diego Mattos.
  8. Call me skeptical. There is a guy who's been doing porn for years using that name (and also the name Sam Vu) and he definitely is not the guy in these photos. (He's Asian and has a very different tattoo on the right side of his torso as well as a lot fewer tattoos.) Maybe this guy simply didn't realize someone else working in the industry was already using the name Sam Universe, but it seems like an unusual enough name that I'd be surprised if two different people thought about using it for their sex work name.
  9. I hired my first escort in my early thirties. Even though I was in a relationship at the time, my partner was very sexually active outside of our relationship and I wanted to have an experience with someone who was very much my type that I probably wouldn't have been able to get just by going out cruising. Ironically, though the guy I hired was very sweet and handsome he didn't perform very well sexually, I think mostly due to a medical issue he had. I don't think I hired another escort for several years, but I did hire men for erotic massages on occasion. My hiring became a lot more frequent in my forties simply because I had the means to hire more and I also was no longer in a relationship.
  10. From the neck down -- hot. From the neck up -- very average as far as I'm concerned.
  11. Is this basically asking who our favorite 6 porn stars are? Subject to change if reminded of others, but off the top of my head I might say: Kevin Williams - perhaps my first big porn crush from the early 1980s. For those who don't know of him, he was a blond twunk who worked for Falcon. Rico Marlon - there's a lot to like about him, but those eyes! I'm sure I would easily fall under his spell if I were with him, just looking into his eyes. Stu during his Sean Cody days (not so much today since he's too bulked up for me). Rhyheim Shabazz. I know his ex is trash talking him, but he looks like he'd be really fun in bed. Jess from Sean Cody. I have to have at least one multi-orgasmic guy on my list, and the other porn performer that I know cums repeatedly during scenes doesn't do gay porn.
  12. I also don't understand it. A brand new phone purchased from Best Buy wouldn't be compromised. I wouldn't waste money on LifeLock. You can just contact the credit reporting bureaus and put a lock on your credit. The only problem is having to remember to unlock if you decide to apply for a new card/loan.
  13. Just goes to show that not everyone has the same reactions. I watched a minute of that pizza video linked above and realized that I just don't think Jonathan Bailey has a very attractive face. Paul Rudd, on the other hand, really floats my boat.
  14. Thanks for the info, RadioRob. I guess I'll just continue looking at the status of people who post these "warning/don't hire" threads and just ignore the ones created by people who signed up just before making the posts.
  15. This morning there is yet again another post by someone who just joined the forum denigrating a provider. Not that I think everyone who is a new member is necessarily lying, but I just don't find "warning" or "avoid" posts from new members helpful. At least when someone has a posting history you can look at their history (if you're so inclined) in order to help you figure out whether to take their warning seriously. I'm on other sites (unrelated to the topics discussed here) where posting privileges work differently for new members. For example, there might be certain sections of the forum that are invisible to someone until he has a certain number of posts over a certain period of time (e.g., 10 posts over the first 30 days). If I'm not mistaken, in the early days of this site (not sure if it was Hooboy's iteration or Daddy's) new forum members actually had to have their posts approved by a moderator before they were visible to other forum members. Even with a short period of time/number of posts, having such a policy would at least prevent posts where someone just signs up to denigrate someone. Am I the only one who thinks some sort of gatekeeping would be helpful, particularly now that "basic" reviews are allowed in the forum and not required to be submitted for review by the site admin?
  16. On both my Windows computer and my Android phone, Rent.men now plays videos with the volume muted by default. On Android, click on the video after you hit play and some controls will pop up, one of them being a speaker icon with a slash through it. Tap that once to enable the audio.
  17. Hire an escort, not a masseur, if you definitely want the guy to cum with you. Even then you'll need to be clear in your communication as some escorts don't cum during every appointment. Sure, you can take a gamble and hire a masseur. I've definitely had a lot of masseurs cross over into escort territory, but even with "clues" in their ads such as explicit language or provocative photos you can never be sure just how "erotic" an erotic massage will be.
  18. I remember many, many years ago when I first stumbled upon some of his porn on Xtube. I did find him attractive, but even in short video clips he came across as odd. I feel for him as he seems to have some sort of severe mental illness, and I wonder if this is what led to him returning to Iran which was obviously a very stupid decision.
  19. Noticed this guy's ad in my area and so searched him here. If it were only one review that indicated 20 minutes, I'd simply assume it was a confused reviewer or a typo. However, this guy has a number of 5-star reviews that indicate the duration was 20 minutes. I'm not sure what to make of that since it doesn't make much sense that he provides the full time to the majority of clients but shorts a significant amount of others to the same 20 minutes. FWIW, the phone number matches a number of recent listings for a TS* escort named Weena with photos that look like it could be him presenting as a female (wig, makeup, feminine attire) but could also be someone else and he just happens to have gotten that phone number. Those listings are from earlier in 2024 and I see his rentmasseur ad began a few months later in the year. *I am using the abbreviation TS because that's what the listings say.
  20. I'm not denying that prices have increased on most things, but I am saying that it is important to check prices at various stores if you don't already do so. The big grocery chain near me (Safeway) increased their prices early on in the pandemic and have continued to do so. Every once in a while they actually offer something at a sale price that's truly a deal, but frequently now their sale prices are just what other stores with the same items charge every day. For just one example, I just searched for potatoes on Safeway, Target and Amazon. Safeway's price for a 5-lb bag of russet potatoes: $4.99. Target's price: $2.99. Amazon's price: $2.49 (free same day delivery but requires $25 minimum spend). Looking at bleach, Chlorox brand is $1 less at Target and about $2 less at Amazon than at Safeway, though the Amazon price requires ordering over $50 of "Fresh" items to get it delivered for free. Yes, there are store brands available at both Target and Safeway that bring their prices down to the price of Chlorox at Amazon. At any rate, my point is simply that some businesses have used the past few years to try to train their customers to think that everything really just has gone up in price significantly, sometimes double or more, and to just pay what they are asking versus looking around to realize that inflation, while bad, hasn't been as bad as that. The same thing has happened with pharmacy chains. Decades ago Walgreens used to be the most affordable place for most things Over The Counter and now everything is significantly overpriced there.
  21. I hardly ever log into Adam4Adam anymore, but when I do I see that I have messages from obviously fake accounts (already removed by admins there due to spamming members, I assume) and the numerous ads sent by A4A themselves.
  22. Why would I disclose my health information on a phone call to a government agency? If they want to collect data for some legitimate purpose, surely they could find a way to do so that's more anonymous.
  23. Am I the only one confused by this thread? How would this guy even have your phone number if you never met him? Reading between the lines (since you didn't write this), are we to assume that you contacted this guy before to ask about his services but never hired him, and he kept your number as a prospective client even though your initial contact didn't result in business for him? I don't even know if you're intending to quote things he wrote to you after you asked him to no longer contact you or if those are the thoughts in your mind after he claimed that you had previously met.
  24. 1. What's a VCA? 2. Depending on one's perspective, your post is likely to be ignored by many here since you signed up only a few hours ago just to post this. Because you have no posting history here, we don't know if you have a history of hiring guys and are offering a fair report of something that happened or you are simply someone who wants to interfere with this guy's business.
  25. I don't think I've heard anyone use the word "goon" for many decades. I thought "bros" and "homies" were basically positive terms, referencing one's friends, unless they are preceded by another word like "frat bro" which might have a negative connotation depending on one's view of fraternities.
