I have been reading "Behind the Mask, Memoirs of a Male Companion, A Journey Into a World of Secrets" by Armann, an escort I regularly hire and always enjoy seeing. This short memoir (82 pages) is only available through Amazon for Kindle, and yes, that is indeed a picture of the man himself on the cover.
 
Fair warning: For those readers who are put off by a writer whose first language is Spanish and not English, you may find reading this book difficult.
 
Personally, I find the author's thoughts and intimate story of how he became a successful escort fascinating enough to ignore any and all problems he has with expressing himself in written English. In this very personal memoir, Armann writes of how he began as a professional male escort over ten years ago, of his enjoyment in continuing to be a top-notch escort, and shares a few memorable experiences with some of his most interesting clients.

The opera hadn’t started. They were adjusting the set before it started. By the time the curtain rose it was a full house, at least in the orchestra where I was sitting. I was impressed how much of the audience was in formal attire. Nice to see some NY audiences still dress up. Makes for an attractive evening.

I don’t pay much attention to what guys state as their “orientation” in their profile. What matters to me is their performance in bed which, as I make abundantly clear when setting up a date, involves among other things very very passionate kissing. If they deliver, I will repeat. If they don’t, they are gone. I couldn’t care less with whom they enjoy sex in their private life.

I'd define a regular as someone you meet about once a month on average. For instance, if I consistently see a traveling provider every time they're in town, I'd consider them a regular. Likewise, if they consistently see me whenever I'm in their area, it works both ways.

I'm looking for more of a BFE type experience when I hire (kissing required), so I avoid straight providers. I've had good experiences with both gay and bi guys, and am more concerned about "I am into" than orientation.

Sexual orientation makes absolutely no difference to me.  I've had great and poor paid sexual experiences with all three orientations.  I do not sort or screen my providers by their orientation.
But like @APPLE1 says, we prefer honesty.  If you're lying and say "straight" or "bisexual" when you're really gay, just to try to drum up business, your clients will figure it out and not return.  You don't need a good memory or need to be a good actor if you don't lie.
