I saw it this weekend, too. (Good thing I didn't know you were going, @Benjamin_Nicholas, else I might have sprained a neck muscle trying to spy you.)

I knew the score, and the story, but this was my first opportunity to see it in production. The intelligent use of creative staging was quite captivating, and the ensemble work thrilling. I happened to be sitting near the pond, so often could hear the incredible Quentin Earl Darrington as Agwe even when he wasn't fully amplified. The proximity made for a powerfully intimate experience. It was also fun to hear the audience gasp and giggle with wonderment throughout.

The show-score response from audiences is forceful. If the critics concur, it could be a major hit. (The industry-types I could hear gossipping were speculating that it would be a tough ticket to get once the reviews came out.) May it be so...

I find it disheartening that for a community who wants equality, we inner-discriminate to a point of absurdity.

Different strokes for different folks, I get that... But there's something to be said for HOW you turn someone down. It costs nothing to be gentle.

If you're street smart, future-thinking and can minimize the effects of age, it's a career. A great one.

Saw this over the holiday weekend and it was everything I had hoped it would be: A true ensemble musical, well-sung, emotional, creatively staged and in the perfect space for the size of the production.

I hope it finds an audience. It's not glitz and glamour. It's heart and genuine storytelling.

Good points, but it's also why I always choose the E-ticketing option. It's a lot tougher to fake that, especially when Stubhub requires the seller to provide the original email from Ticketmaster (or whomever they were bought from) as part of the transaction.

I agree and I’ve used StubHub many times to get great seats....

I’m just curious how they keep people from offering counterfeit tickets?

I mean..ok...I get my money back...but you still seriously screwed up my night.

Again, I’ve used them tons and never had a problem...
but I still hold my breath every time they scan my StubHub tickets at the door.

That people would hand cash money to someone on the street begs the question: How dumb can people be?

Stubhub, Ticketsnow (a division of Ticketmaster), etc all are viable ways for guaranteed aftermarket tickets.

Cultivating a group of clients who all share 'wanting a connection' as the common bond is what has made my time as an escort fantastic

I knew from very early on that this is what I wanted. It's not for everyone.

    If I may interject here...

Discussion about religious and political views put barriers in the way of an intimate and rewarding interaction.

You are certainly entitled to your views, religion, and opinions.
There is a far difference between having opinions and broadcasting them, either in your ad or here in your public statements.

I don't hire escorts because I want to engage in a debate over their views or to find places where we have differences. These become barriers between people, instead of ways of connecting. I picture an escort as someone who should try to find common ground in order to allow the client to open up and feel comfortable.

I want to feel special and comfortable enough to be open and vulnerable. I want to let my guard down for a time. I don't see where projecting these political, religious and social views provides that safe space emotionally for me as a client. And, I don't see where these public views really support your business.

I would prefer that the time hired is focused on me. Yes, as a client I want to be selfish in that way. If I have to spend my time avoiding topics, refusing to open up because I fear the escorts reaction, or judgment from an escort's firmly projected and fixed opinions, then I can't see the value in that interaction.

PS: The nine texts in response to an initial greeting/request, all basically saying "I want money up front" was just another barrier. It was extremely off-putting.

Branagh is one of the few classically trained actors we have left who's still doing a mix of film and stage. He's also one of the very few who's keeping the Bard in the spotlight on a regular basis.

His Macbeth was awesome. His Hamlet was eons better than the crap that Mel Gibson presented.
