How many people outside New York know Charles  Bush

You're probably right, but to see Bush as Mame Dennis in Auntie Mame would be just superb.

    (The play, not the musical)

I think that to make a Mame revival successful you need a mega movie star (Broadway stars simply wouldn't be enough to bring a wide audience in) someone like Meryl Streep? and then you need a gimmick to give it the face lift it needs - Charles Bush or Ru Paul for Vera Charles?

Somewhat sadly, I agree.  Profitable Broadway shows now only work when the tourist dollar comes in and keeps coming in.  It's become much less important for native New Yorkers to like something.  Hence, a bad review from the NYT no longer makes much of a difference in ticket sales.

I'm sure Frank Rich is weeping somewhere.

For me, Mame would work with a singing 'name' that could reliably do 6-8 shows a week.

  2. The 1br villas and spa villa are really the best of the best.

Spacious enough for company, right outside the newer clothing-optional pools in the back and lots of private second floor outdoor space if you want to invite guests in for open-air playtime.

Also love the design and location of the 2br cottage.  Large outdoor patio for naked lounging, although it's not as private as a villa.

That may be a selling point for an exhibitionist.

I agree with you to a point, especially if the dom is well adjusted and careful not to cross the line into abuse.  I think it's easy for money to let someone rationalize becoming very abusive in this kind of dynamic.  Watching the interview with Mateo, the way he talks about his clients sounds a lot like how relationship scam artists that engage in "pig butchering" scams talk about their victims.  The only difference in his case is his clients do willlingly engage with him as a findom, but it seems like more than an act for him.  Add to that where he claims he needs some form of transaction to be interested in any kind of sex, there just seems to be some of psychopathy driving him.

There were some photos in the interview showing him before his surgeries, and he was genuinely a cute young man.  His alterations are his own business, but I don't think the look he's trying to achieve is going to age well.  I hope has a good exit strategy because I think his ability to keep draining his clients will last very long as he gets older.

He's clearly all-in on the scene, but the bottom line is that the guy holding the cash always has the power.

Now, the truly trusting- or perhaps, foolish- subs who give you access to their high-line credit cards or bank accounts are taking actual risks with long lasting ramifications.

There should be an established trust for that, but in many cases, what turns the sub on is the risk itself.

many gay men share a history of being bullied & mocked as children/teens when they didn’t fit-in, looking & acting different.

funny how some haven’t learned as adults how to extend grace when someone looks/acts different

i guarantee there are people in all of our lives that don’t understand our choices - and they don’t need to.  same thing

I agree completely, but have also been here long enough to know that under the guise of anonymity, people post some ugly shit.

It's always appreciated to see someone occasionally remind us to not act like uncouth swine.

The worst experience I had was with a provider last xmas.  We were at a very trendy food court, he stepped into the bathroom and assume snorted a ton of something.  By the time he came out he was like a zombie in the middle of the food court.  I was like wtf?  How am I going to handle this, thought I was going to have to dial 911, and then what was going to happen etc.  It took me like an hour to get him out of there.  It was horrible to see, as prior to the pandemic I had seen him many times and he was an athlete.

I'd probably do drugs too if someone took me to a food court

We see it from others, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. A massage therapist who is well-liked with many reviews, but there's those one or two people who leave a nice review that slip through the cracks and don't get some love from the provider. I, for one, feel bad for those guys because that indicates to me that the feeling wasn't at all mutual.

I have had only one review I left deleted by the moderator of the website per my request due to the masseur being (by private message) upset with me for giving something insignificant like ambiance a 4 instead of a 5 - that's far too diva to be getting on my case.

When a provider doesn't reply or respond to any reviews left by anyone at all, or only bothers to get defensive when someone has a lousy experience to then reply, the writing is on the wall that you are leaving a review that isn't getting a response.

I see no reason to publicly reply to any review of mine.

Privately, you thank someone.  Simple, kind, effective.

If you're writing a positive review just to get a visible pat on the head, that seems a little silly.

I think findom is less about sex and more about power.

    This is exactly right.

It's the mental game of pushing past boundaries and exchanging power, usually without what most would call full-on fucking.

The dominant figure always knows where the line is.

A good sub is able to convince himself in the moment that he has zero control.

It's old-fashioned theatrics, but with good actors, it can be a thrill (for those interested).

But why do so many go to Dubai? Is it the Mecca for escorts and there's some Hajj-like requirement that escorts go there at least once in their life?

Because if you look a certain way, you can make a lot of money there, very quickly.

DXB has the cash and they spend it.  Spending $20k on a weekend fling is absolutely nothing for wealthy Emiratis.

I flew British Airways (BA) business class (Club World) for the first time last year on my first flight to Europe.  I was impressed with everything BA had to offer.  However, it was queer that London Heathrow (LHR) required passengers to go through security again to fly on to destinations within Europe; and, I found the boarding areas strange as well.  Passengers were processed by boarding group into a waiting lounge, then were all let onto the jetway at once when the plane arrived.  But the quality and diversity of business class lounges for intercontinental passengers impressed me enough to compensate for the oddities of LHR.

LHR T3 has some of the best airline lounges in the world.

Cathay F and Qantas are my favorites: Always a stop at both (one for noodles, the other for gin) when flying out of LHR.

Were you on a BA flight with the 'new' Club Suite?

    https://thepointsguy.com/reviews/british-airways-club-suites-777/

I've flown in them twice and as a tall guy, the doors didn't help it feel spacious to me.  Not excited about all J-class products now going to these flimsy sliding doors, but clearly I'm in the minority on this.

What I did like was BA's flight crew.  They were fantastic.

Giive me Rodgers and  Hammerstein  and Forbidden Broadway

There's a place for that as well.  This is something new and different.

As for Forbidden Broadway, it's coming back, this time to Broadway.  Expect a revolving door of theater stars guesting in the show on a nightly basis.
