My financial guy said, in 1984:
” You don’t have a lot of money now, but you will, and it’s my job to make sure that happens.” I retired in 2012 (on disability for five years) and even living somewhat fancied, I can’t run out of money.

When I was this guys age I was 6' and weighed 145 pounds and was considered rail thin (skinny).  He is 6'5" and weights 140.  That ain't "body type" average in my book -- that's emaciataed

gallahadesquire got a reaction from Luv2play in Alain Delon asks to undergo assisted suicide and writes a farewell message
My mother had a stroke that put her into a vegetative state. She was on a morphine infusion. At 2 or 3 pm, the nurse walked in, gave an additional dose, and upped the infusion. Right on pharmacokinetic time, she died about 15 minutes later.
I’ll add that I had received “The Call” at six in the morning.. she’d been incubated, and a neurosurgeon was on her case. I asked him if there were any chance of an appreciable recovery. I was assured there wasn’t.
I got on the phone to the ER doctor.
“I want to thank you for all you’ve done. Don’t do anything else.”
    ”That’s what your step-father said.”
”And he would be right. Don’t do anything else.”
The Hospital told us later that they were surprised at the forcefulness of our responses. From the time I entered medical school, my Mother had told me about what to do in just those circumstances. So I was ready.
But, in absence of any euthanasia laws, frankly it was between malpractice and murder.
Of which: I was watching something about the death of King George V. Historically, his physician had administered “gr. 3/4” of morphine. Three-quarter grain. That should be about 45 mg. They read “gr” as “grams” and reported 750 mg. Also, “gr 1” of cocaine. Again, I doubt this was one gram.

I think what will really make electric vehicles viable, is the ability to drop you off, go to a faster-than-at-home charging stations get charged and them drive them selves back.

self-driving will have to wait until the cars themselves talk to each other, to know where they are and where they are going. This would make self-driving far safer.

First off glad you had a great time! But I'd say it's lust not love. You just had a really fun time with a really hot guy who you paid to cater to your every wish and desire. You are basically "in love" with the thought of doing what you did again. So you want the experience not him specifically.

A friend’s mother died at 93. She’d had leukemia at 73, and threw her game off neurologically. But she was intact to the end. Other than some outliers, I’ve had friends die at 78-80 pretty regularly. I have no financial worries; I could afford 24\7 home care when the time comes, and I MUST have a Cat. I would rather not spend down my nephews’ inheritance, and I don’t think I shall.

Mom had Alzheimer’s, mild-to-moderate, and died from a stroke at 80. My stepfather was bedridden with every-six-week hospital admissions for about three years until he died at 96. I think I’d rather follow in my mother’s footsteps, minus the Alzheimer’s, thank you

So I hope I make it to 80. I’m just 69 now, so we’ll see.

In ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE, thee was a ?Fractured Fairytale, or a Peabody’s Improbable History, about Sir Galahad:

He was just born, and his father took him to get his name registered in the book.
“Have you chosen a name?” the keeper of the book asked.
“Yes Sir!” his father responded ... so his name went into the book as Sir Galahad.
“But that’s not what I wanted!” the father said.
“Too late! It’s already in the book! But what was the name you wanted?”
    “Arbuthnot!” the father replied.

I just got a kick out of that.

The “-esquire” just arrived on its own. I might have been thinking “Squire Galahad” who would, of course, eventually turn into Sir Galahad.

The double “L”? I failed to spell check.

    P.s. I sometimes use Arbuthnot.
    P.p.s.:
“Thank you for seeing me, Doctor,” the man said.
“It’s a pleasure meeting you, Mr Raymond Luxury Yacht.”
    “It’s not Raymond Luxury Yacht.”
    “Well then, what is it?”
“It’s SPELLED Raymond Luxury Yacht, but it’s pronounced Thoatwarbler Mangrove.”

My penultimate job was, as an anesthesiologist, evaluating patients preoperatively. I had arranged with one surgeon that, if I had an issue that was important but not urgent, I would write out an email and then send a test to his beeper saying “You’ve got mail.” It didn’t interrupt whatever he was doing (especially if he was operating) and it left a paper trail of what was going on.
