former lurker got a reaction from + Just Sayin in Weirdest session with a client
The only other thing you could have done would have been to try and get him to agree to go to the emergency room for a psych hold. If he refused, that would be the extent of what you could do. My brother committed suicide. We knew he was distraught, but not that he'd be suicidal. His lack of a prior diagnosis made a court-mandated hospitalization unavailable and he refused any professional treatment. Attempts to reason with him fell short. It will be ten years soon, and I still miss him every day.

You may be reading too much into it. He responded and said nothing discouraging. Had he been averse to clients like you, he either wouldn't respond or he'd say your not a good fit. He left the ball in your court. If, for whatever reason, you feel uncomfortable meeting somewhat who isn't affirmatively encouraging, it's probably better that you don't book him. Whether that's because he's not into it or you need more encouragement than he provides, it's not a good set up for a great time for you.

Or he realized a lot of potential clients might not know what plethora means.

A lot has been written about him. As I've said, everyone has his own tastes and own budget. But I found my time with him to be superlative. I've hired a lot of guys over a number of years. My time with him was among the most satisfying. He was warm, lovingly so, both in and out of bed. And he was incredible in bed. Not just a quick fuck. He made it feel like a total loving experience. I can be jaded. Making me feel as he did was a pretty fantastic thing. Hire him or don't. Not my call. But it's a bit odd for me to read all the commentary based on impressions from people who didn't see him. There are plenty of us who have. Part of my decision to hire him was @Hung_Cody having good things to say. I expect I'm less compelling than Cody as a partner, but ILHV made me feel great.

Interesting that you feel entitled to speak for 95% of the market.

i usually dont interject on mens opinions on what they find attractive. however.... in this picture these boys especially the one on the left looks (even if they arent) as minors. the problem is the men who find these young boys attractive. its very alarming and quite disgusting. not the boys who are of age working in the industry but the men who find this attractive and hire.

former lurker got a reaction from thomas in Randy from Sean Cody, such sad news :{
Cause and affect is muddled. To some extent, porn attracts people like Randy who have underlying conditions, and who need to make quick money. Does porn destroy them, or are do seriously at risk guys gravitate to porn? Probably both.
I've been trying to wrap my mind around Randy's story. It's too heartbreaking.

former lurker got a reaction from RyanDean in I offended a provider on a hookup site
From his responses, it sounds like he interpreted your comments and questions as holding his escorting against him and a reason you would not like to meet him. Seems you were as unclear in your messaging as was he. Good of you apologize. Had I been in your shoes, I would have thanked him for his interest and tried to arrange a meeting. If he was looking for a client, he would need to communicate that before meeting.

former lurker got a reaction from + robear in Another associate in mental health crisis after drug/alcohol addiction
Addiction often accompanies mental health disorders such as Major Oppressive Disorder, BiPolar Disorder, and other conditions. At least it did in my case. And in my brother's case. You can't convince an addict to get help, and someone struggling with depression is especially likely to resist treatment. You can give addicts hints, encouragement, and remind them there are people who love them and whom they are causing pain. If they are open to help, they should get evaluated, preferably on an in-patient basis. But s/he has to be ready.
I join all of those whose posts offer support. Watching a loved one self-destruct and not knowing how to help is torture.

I’ve been in contact with him on his OF about a meet-up. He certainly seems open to it, I’ll report back if the conversation goes anywhere!

No offense, but I cannot imagine any context where the question "I had the impression that you are a sex worker" would be well-received.

former lurker reacted to xax in I offended a provider on a hookup site
Question: is this hookup site like a Grindr type thing where he’s just looking to meet up to play (without money involved) or specifically for matching providers to clients?
if the answer is the former, then I don’t think this was the right forum for you to be asking about his rentmen profile, and I could see why he was turned off by it and suspicious of your line of questioning.

Or if a provider is slim…the unnecessary “buy him a sandwich” comments.

For reasons beyond my imagination, a lot of posters answer inquiries directed at those with first-hand knowledge of a provider when all they have to offer is their reaction to the provider's ad which we can all see for ourselves.
