with the recent resurrection of this thread, I was able to re-read @Phil_musc's fantastic review of the Brooklyn bathhouse's "Virginia branch" upthread .......fantastic!......shades of the rare humor@Lookinand @Fin Fang Foom (from the forum's "colonial" days of yore) possessed much to the delight of forum members.......I'm sure John D Rockefeller would be proud to see his recreated colonial capital of the Old Dominion still includes this little known side of colonial life

Phil_musc got a reaction from Casual in The Bathhouse in Williamsburg
I assume the OP is asking about the little-known bathhouse/sauna in Virginia. Those of you who have been there, please chime in. I thought it was charming to be met at the door by a hot-looking man (much like Dario Owen, the subject of another thread here) in period costume. I paid my admission in pounds and pence and was buzzed in (I thought the buzz seemed out of character for the obvious period experience they were seeking to recreate). Nevertheless, I proceeded down the stairs where I disrobed in a room that could best be likened to a root cellar with an earthen floor and a few stray rutabagas over in the corner. Then another hot looking attendant, this one looking like Casey Donovan (another thread, see above), showed me around the place. Guys, you gotta check it out! They have really gone to some effort to make the historical aspect of the bath really accurate. They have cute attendants who rub you down with floral-scented lye soap and then hose you off, pour oil on your body (always a good preparation for some activities), rubbing it in, being careful not to miss any spots. Then they take you to what appears to be an early colonial-style orgy room filled with rustic benches of different heights and thicknesses. We all benefitted by the romantic candlelight that the wall sconces gave off. There was a fireplace over at the far wall throwing off heat that was most welcome, it being a chilly late fall evening. There was plenty of rope lying around for the bondage crew to feel at home and there was a well-used whipping post with a few free flogs lying about for the customers. Numerous tubs of lard were discreetly placed throughout the room enabling those who wished to engage in penetrative sex with ease and minimal discomfort (if any) to do so. Breaking with the historical motive, there were several hand-woven baskets filled with condoms of various brands and sizes because while we were all there to soak up the history, we didn't check our brains at the door. Ah, but what of the men I imagine you are thinking (I know I sure would be wondering about that by now). Well, it was a slow night when I was there. I saw that some evenings they have promotional rates to bring in the young crowd and Sunday night is Bear Night. Monday was Bring a Buddy. I was most intrigued by the Saturday Witch-Burning promotion, but alas it was Thursday - a nothing night if ever there was one. I left the orgy room and wandered down the candle-lit hallway and through the place. I lucked out and managed to connect with a young-ish guy from Jamestown and we managed to get into a fairly historic kind of role-play thing. But I shan't kiss and tell. Anyway, check it out next time you get to Williamsburg. It's the kind of place that Benjamin Nicholas might write about - I'm sure he'd have a better time than I did.

Great topic and very timely, as I just turned eighty. 😳
It's impressive and heartwarming to hear my fellow posters are blessed with supportive families and/or the wherewithal to keep going throughout the golden years.
Personally, I've never been much of a planner. There's a chance a couple of my younger relatives would put me up when my cash runs out after a couple months in the Olde Poofters Home. But it's not a sure thing.
I'm thinking my best bet might be to snuggle into a wicker basket and drop myself off at the local fire station.

Phil_musc reacted to Rudynate in 65 is not elderly, damn it!
You should have seen older women in the 1950s - they wore dark dresses, dark, heavy stockings that concealed their legs, sensible black shoes with clunky heels, no makeup, and they put their white hair up in hairnets - they made Barbara Bush look like a runway model.

Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a call regarding a collision at Metropolitan Avenue and Cooper Avenue in Middle Village that resulted in an elderly pedestrian being taken to the hospital on Monday morning.
Police say a 42-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Hyundai driving eastbound when they mounted the curb and hit the 65-year-old woman at approximately 8:31 a.m. on June 19.
If I ever get my hands on the young whippersnapper who wrote this...

I remember many years ago I was nervous and accidentally used the word masseuse he took my hand and put it on his cock and sternly said this is what makes me a "masseur". I smiled at him and never made the mistake again.😁

If someone seriously is asking 500 bucks for their massage, they can’t complain if people ask why. Seriously.
