Hi all- have been a forum reader for years but not so much a poster. However, this time I’m trying to elicit some help after trying to find a provider locally. 
 
I’ve hired providers in the past, but have mostly stuck with 1 where we’ve built up a connection over the years. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that the emotional connection has become just as important as the physical attraction. (I hired someone recently, which physically might have been the most beautiful man I’ve ever touched. He was nice, sweet but because we didn’t connect the sex part was not as fun as it should have been 😀)  
So, trying to see if anyone has any recommendations for NYC based providers that would be a fit for me?
friendly, intelligent.  I’m in my early forties. While age isn’t a huge issue if we connect, but I have generally realized guys 35+ are better suited for me.  Muscular I Love kissing, cuddling, having someone play the flirty alpha type.  just want someone to make me feel attractive and desired  I really don’t want to come across as a choosy little queen. Searching on RM for BOTTOM escorts who are into GROUPS literally yields hundreds if I search in "all locations".   It probably wouldn't be useful if all the guys we suggest aren't anywhere near you.
If I search with those terms in Chicago I get almost 20.  LA yields almost 60.  I'm sure there are plenty who would be into a group scene in your area if you ask.  Maybe you could do that search in your area and ask about the guys who fit that search who strike your interest?

I tend to agree, however the OP perceives it as a bug.  Either way, if the OP hopes RM will change how the site behaves, he should direct his complaint to the people who run the site instead of whinging about it to an audience that has no ability to help him.

Have you contacted RM support about your question?  I seriously doubt they monitor this board for support requests...

Bad sessions with RM for most people are the RARE exception but for you it seems to be the norm - Maybe the problem could be you buddy? 
 

If you are a Premium member of RentMen, send a few queries to some of the clients who've reviewed him.  I've done that in the past as well as having others writing to me.  ...has been quite beneficial for both.

Flip your question around: Why would you turn down an opportunity to be with a guy during the other 23 hours of the day?  Do you really only have one specific hour during which you can meet?
Your question assumes that someone else should change his schedule to accommodate you, and it's just as valid to question why you can't change your schedule to accommodate him.

I feel like this guy would be very comfortable from gentle to rough to in-between. He was in-between with me and did check-ins and such to make sure I was good when he picked up the pace and intensity a notch. I just got a sense he reads his clients well.

I've met a lot of shitty escorts. Very few good ones. So many using old pictures or not even n their own pictures. That's happened to me twice. I've had escorts that took my money,  gave me ten minutes and left.   I've met ALMOST every escort that stays in nyc,  many of the regular visitors.  I speak very openly and honest.  I recommend some.

I have compassion & respect for providers as fellow human-beings & trying to make a living providing intimate services.  It’s not an easy job.  But, if a provider shows up high or otherwise intoxicated in any way - the appointment is over & I will exit asap and won’t engage further.  It’s about my personal safety at that point. And it’s non-negotiable.
And I would expect providers to react the same with a client that shows high or intoxicated.
Based on stories I hear from provider friends - drugs are pervasive & something to  actively avoid when reviewing profiles.  There are clues in the written text, photos & description fields. In an initial text exchange, I usually make it clear no drugs & I don’t want to be around anyone that uses. 
I’m not setting up an appointment to save anyone (from themselves) or act as a counselor when they’re high or intoxicated. Hard no.

No. But there are all sorts of "deal breakers" from either side in this hobby: looks, geographic location, price, age, access to a spot to do the deed, specific scene wanted, etc.  At any moment the whole arrangement can go south, and the mental fantasy dissolves into nothing.
If you don't have a place and he doesn't have a place, it's no one's "fault." If you are in the Arctic and he is in the Antarctic, it's no one's "fault". If you want to do A, B, and C, and he never ever ever does C, it's no one's "fault".
Personally, when communicating with a new provider, I lead with a friendly demeanor. Then I work down through the list above of what is most important to me starting with the ones that are mostly going to be problematic for the provider. I personally am not everyone's cup of tea visually, so I do start with "I am x and y, is that a problem for you?"
I totally agree: It can be hurtful to know that my dream date is going to potentially turn me away at the door for my looks -- but I'd rather know that as soon as possible rather than hours later.
