  1. Did you leave a review saying you booked 60 mins, but only got 40? I think nearly everyone can be guilty of taking shortcuts in life. I think most people stop those shortcuts when someone points them out, and we are motivated to stop. I can also understand that providers may have a system where a 60 min massage equals X min of table time. However, I feel the best providers will spell that out in the ad if that's the case, so there is no confusion or unmet expectations.
  2. @bcbg1205 @bimuscle my experience has been similar to both of yours. Hiring close to 20 years now, and I've never felt uncomfortable, or been truly scammed. The worst I can say is that I have been stood up, or I may have gotten less than what we agreed on. Hell, I was even foolish enough to pay up front a few times when I started out. Even the potential providers I have been interested in, and then researched on here, I have read reviews that indicated things like "wouldn't repeat" but no one I've been interested in hiring has ever been reviewed as a scammer or engaging in sketchy behavior. The forum certainly made me realize how lucky I have been when I've heard the experiences of other clients. And I don't know why @bcbg1205 appears multiple times - I can't get it to go away. @bcbg1205
  3. Most importantly, I want others who will appreciate a provider and their work to support them. That is why I think every review with some degree of detail is helpful to providers and clients. I may leave less than 5 stars and indicate a provider looked really young, barely talked, had an ass hairy as a gorilla, had a manscent I could smell across the room, and spent most of the session engaged in stretching exercises. Another client could very well read my review and think: 1) I know it's not a scam; and 2) that is EVERYTHING I want in a session. He is the provider for me!
  4. I know the post is for NYC, but quit playing the I know a secret game. LOL! Give us the name of the Chicago spa! Inquiring minds want to know!
  5. Everyone in my family bakes their own bread and has for as long as I have been around. With a wide network people who create, maintain, share, and trade starter, I have, admittedly, never bought it, but if I did, the King Arthur variety would not have been my choice. And I am not saying their FLOUR isn't quality. Their website indicates they are using their all propose flour for starter. The easiest flour for a novice to use in starter is a high protein flour - whole wheat, Bran, Barley, etc. Once you have the knack, virtually any flour will work - rice, nut, all purpose, etc. I even have a great aunt who makes a cake flour starter. If you seek a recipe online, or elsewhere, take a hard pass on the ones that add yeast. Starter is only flour and water. Anything else muddles the mix. If you hear people using yeast and sugar, that's Herman (sweat bread) starter, and it's a completely different animal. If your tap water is high in Flouride or Chlorine, that can cause poor starter growth. A lot of my family uses filtered water, or trades well water as often as they trade starter. Their prefered storage is a plastic bowl inside the oven. The plastic is resistant to temp changes, and the oven shields drafts. And yes, there has been more than one melted plastic bowl and ruined starter incident when someone forgot and turned the oven on. A little about the final dough: Some of my relatives love a bakers wisk, and some find them haughty fru fru. The flour you have in the starter doesn't dictate the final flour you use in the dough. It's a low effort process. So less is more when it comes to mixing/kneading. It can be a knack to figure out how much is just enough. Often doughs are baked in an oven that isn't preheated. Therefore, a heating pad under your "rising" bowl can be a huge time saver when waiting for the dough to double in size. And remember, if it's edible, it's a success!
  6. You all understand there's a big difference between the terms ACCUSED and CONVICTED right. I don't know the man, I haven't hired him, and I am not following his ad on any platform. BUT, I think it's worth pointing out that the court links show a CURRENT address of Laithreach (Mitch Matthews) in Portland OR. One, courts, and the lawyers representing defendants, are generally pretty thorough at keeping track of accused child sex offenders. Especially if they have personally appeared in court several times for the charge. Two, if a court can't keep track of a defendant address, personally, I may call into question how thoroughly they have investigated the evidence for the charges.
  7. https://www.courts.mo.gov/cnet/cases/newHeader.do?inputVO.caseNumber=23CY-CR00900-01&inputVO.courtId=SMPDB0001_CT07#docket Looks like it is set for a jury trial on 11/04/24. According to the MO courts website, the original charges have been changed. Not at all uncommon for law enforcement to charge everything under the sun and a prosecuting attorney to look at the situation and say "no, that doesn't apply."
  8. My apologies, I should have made this more clear above. I specified wanting an "erotic" massage, and I was told that was an available service.
  9. When my mother complains about being tired of shopping on Amazon, I remind her it's the Sears of the 21st century. Instead of ordering from a print catalog and having the mail deliver it, or go to the Sears catalog pickup window on Friday, it's now ordered from a digital catalog and delivered much quicker.
  10. I thought erotic massages or anything to do with genitalia area / happy endings are illegal in USA except some parts of Vegas Aaaahhhh, but the law is a very technical thing. Remember, those making porn (actors, writers, producers, etc) all get to discuss erotic massages, role play, genitals, the exchanging of tabs and slots, the exchangeof money, and virtually anything sexual well within the confines of the law. Simply hiring for a massage, is just as legal as hiring an actor to be in a porn with you. The 2 basic search tabs in rentmen are MASSEURS and PORNSTARS. And, if I recall correctly, one of the providers on here said that rentmen refers to the providers as ACTORS. There's a reason for that. I am willing to bet the website paid a legal professional to come up with that, not a marketing firm. There used to be provider on the west coast that advertised on Craigslist and explicity listed the sex acts he would perform with you when he made a porn with you. And remember, there are 3 basic recognized types of porn: 1) written word (stories) ; 2) visual (pics, paintings, videos) and 3) auditory (recorded sounds and words).
  11. I can definitely agree with YMMV. I saw him a few years ago. Communication was fine. Massage was more of a rubdown and lacked skill, sensual, or erotic elements. He stayed in shorts and a t-shirt, so I can't comment on whether he was blessed or not. There was an attempt at the end to finish things for me, but it seemed as robotic as the rest of the session, and I ended it with a "thanks, but I am good."

    Who this?

Is there a link to the "convicted" story/details. The only things I see online say "accused." Quebec man accused of assaulting ex-girlfriend facing new charges MONTREAL.CTVNEWS.CA New criminal charges have been laid against a Montreal-area...
  13. I never assume a text, an email, or a voicemail are a providers priority when I send it. I assume any of them will be ignored, mulled over, and considered until a response works into the schedule. It's also how I respond to most non face to face communication. I also don't let read/recieved indicators affect how quickly I respond, or expect a response.
  14. All other things being near equal in 2 or more profiles, I am typically going to go to the profile that doesn't have exclusively 5 star reviews. Because I believe you can't please all of the people all of the time, I see no red flags in a providers with some 3 or 4 star reviews. Hell, even the occasional 1 or 2 star review just makes me realize that some people are never happy. Overall, it gives me some semblance of faith that the 5 star reviews are genuine, versus made up or altered after some quid pro quo like a free session. I have had some of my best experiences with providers who weren't on page 1 or 2, and who didn't have unending 5 star reviews.
  15. I may reach out to a faceless profile. It obviously depends on the rest of the profile, as well as my other options in the area. I am going to assume that posting a pic of a hairy chest was recognition that body hair, or not, is a factor for some clients. I really wish faceless profiles would tell me if they are clean shaven, or not. When I hire, there's only one right answer to both those questions (body/face). If it's an unknown, it's going to be one of my opening questions, and I feel like it would save everyone time and effort if I knew the answer from the profile.
  16. Corbin - Pornstar Performer, Rentboy, Gay Massage in Denver, CO | RentMen RENTMEN.EU Pornstar Performer & Rentboy in Denver, CO - Corbin: Reasonable &... Although usually not my type, I have always found Corbin to be a good time! (I know the profile says 42, but we recently covered age shaving right?)
  17. This is likely off topic, but I am often attracted to profiles that DON'T have exclusively 5 star reviews. After all, you can't please all of the people all of the time. I take a certain affirmation in seeing a 4, or 3, etc review. I gives me more confidence that the other reviews are reality, and that a provider is confident enough in their skill not to reinvent themselves because they couldn't make someone perfectly happy.
  18. A provider I see has a small sign on a table in his space that says he offers gift certificates. That may spurt interest in your clients. Like you, he is a MT (I think it's a significantly different scenario that getting an escorts gift card). TWO family members (from out of town) have actually gotten me gift certificates for his services. Calling the provider, as apposed to looking him up online, would offer no clue that he offers more than a typical massage.
  19. I think preferred contact method is essential in an automated message. After all, the very nature of the automated message typically says 'I prefer not to communicate here." However, if you do have automated message that gives additional info, and you prefer RM instant messaging, I also see nothing wrong with saying "if you are still interested, message me back here" at the end of the automated message.
  20. Ohhh if only it were that simple! I am guessing that you weren't the first hire for some of your 95%. If we concede that you were a 2nd, 5th, 50th hire for some of those clients, AND you became a regular provider for them, I think it goes without saying that, some of them waded through a few undesirable providers before they found the skill and professionalism that you offer. There will always be disrespectful clients and disrespectful providers. That's why we are here right? To learn about other's experiences, to make us think about our behavior, and to give us a window into how others may view things.
  21. Feb or March of 2023, he quoted me $200. Not my type, so I didn't hire.
  22. Well first, I guess because I don't consider myself infallible when it comes to interpreting human behavior. Second, because I think communication can frequently have ambiguity based on individual styles and experiences, so sometimes clarification is significant.
  23. That's a hard to quantify answer. 1) It depends on where and how often I travel (in all respects, I seem to have better luck with providers in the Midwest and Northwest). 2) I am certainly looking around less to hire in my "usual" cities because I've established "go to" providers. 3) After an initial client/provider relationship moved to a regular hookup relationship when I now, visit, I don't feel like I can count them. I will know that as my age increased, the frequency has decreased (I know, that's a shocker 😉). I would estimate probably 1x every other year at this point.
  24. I have been offered freebies in the past, but: 1) It's never been from one of my regular providers. It's always been someone I saw while I was traveling. After reading some of the provider responses on here, that makes much more sense to me now. 2) The offers have always come to me from masseurs. 3) On all but one occasion, it's always had more conditions. Things like let's do dinner and then come back here, or let's go to X and then come back here, or let's hang out for a while and then have sex. 4) Other than the one occasion, it's always been less massage and a significantly quicker transition into the extras. And, 5) I have paid $0. Not a discounted rate. I didn't charge them for wanting to spend time with me, and since THEY made the request, I didn't feel I owed them any fee. And no, I don't have a 6 pack or a 9" cock. No matter how crooked the kettle there's a cover to fit it. To that end, I have a look and presence that some find attractive, and others don't.
  25. Here's what I hate about MintBoys, the only "time" info they provide is 'date updated.' Consequently, I look at ads and think 'it's a year old, are they still working, or working in this area?' There are providers I would definitely contact there if I saw they were online last week, or the ad was updated even a month ago.
