So I used to travel for work. I often had a rental car so I could go to a provider. I quickly learned to ask is there parking in a garage or street level.
If street level is it easy to find a space? So many time the providers never mention that you will have to walk 5 blocks to find a space ha.
Also another time this guy is in to this day the most oddly contructed and confusing apartment complex I have ever been to. The buildings had no clear layout. Building 1 was next to 6 etc and the visitor parking was at the main building. Also each building had the same number of units 1-8 on the door.
It took me 15 minutes to find his apartment because English was his 2nd language. The guy gave a great massage and I recommend for him to draw a map or take pictures to send to clients for future reference.

Interesting. I am curious if the same applies to providers. In a prior market I would often text when leaving. If the map said 20 min I would tell them I am on my way and set to arrive in 25 etc.
So many times providers would text me multiple times asking. How far away. When it had only been 10 min. I usually marked this down as being traveling providers or new but it happened often.
Like I told you 25 min and I told you when I left and I am not late so leave me be to drive damn ha.

This happened recently to me and after many years of hiring I can't believe I was this stupid.
I spoke to a guy who was traveling and staying for the week in my area. Spoke when he first got in town but it took 3 days before our schedules lined up.
On day 1 he sent me his hotel and address. Well on day 3 I checked in to see if he was available and told him ok looks like you are 25 min from me. On my way. I get to the hotel and suddenly he text and says it's the Hyatt.
I thought wait there is no Hyatt over here. We both then quickly realize he had moved hotels.
Normally I would always verify the address but I did not think to this time and he didn't realize he never told me the new hotel.
Thankfully he had no bookings and I drove and additional 25 min to reach him.

Some addresses really are difficult to find, even when using mapping software on a cell phone.  I've definitely gone to places and parked but then had difficulty figuring out which of the many buildings I was supposed to go to.  I have also followed directions given by Google Maps and occasionally made choices that in retrospect were nonsensical.  One of them that stands out in my mind to this day is exiting a Los Angeles area freeway onto to wait at a red light and then reenter the freeway on the other side of the overpass.  There was definitely no reason to exit the freeway, but for whatever reason Google told me to exit and since I was unfamiliar with the area I just followed the directions given.  Another involved walking and not driving.  Despite me reading directions provided by actual people online, when I visited Las Vegas I believed Google's instruction to park at a parking garage much closer as the crow flies to my destination.  The only problem was that there was no way for most people to walk from that garage to my destination since it was for employees only (with locked doors).  I ended up having a nearly 30 minute walk from the garage to my destination versus the 7 minute walk it would have been had I parked where people online suggested.  I submitted a correction to Google in the hopes to prevent other tourists from making the same mistake.
I will also admit that I am directionally challenged, so it's relatively easy for me to get lost if I am in an unfamiliar area.

My favorite is downtown Philly! I kid you not...There is a regular Marriott, a Marriott Courtyard and a Marriott Residence Inn next to each other on two city blocks. My guy usually ends up at the wrong damn Marriott!!🤭

My favorite is the Hampton Inn Buckhead, not to be confused with the Hampton Inn & Suites Buckhead, literally next door.
(one is 3312 Piedmont, the other 3398 Piedmont).
Anyway, some people do lie. But some people are generally not familiar with the area - people from suburbs or other cities, coming and not realizing you’ll have to park, pay, and walk to get to me. I do live in the middle of the city
if they’re not from atlanta, I just expect the appt will start a little bit late.

    A. You have no idea if a provider has hidden cameras in his home.
    B. Most hotel workers know exactly what you are doing. The reason why is most hotels unless you are at a large Vegas resort has a small crew.
Housekeeping talks to the front desk and gossips constantly. When a particular room has 1 occupant but they insist on 2beds and they stay for 1-3 nights but request extra linen, towels, etc. it is a red flag for most desk clerks and like I said hskp talks.
They may never say anything to the guest and as long as the guest is quiet and there are no issues no one cares.
If you are so worried about camera and being seen then my recommendation is to rent your own hotel room and do an outcall there.
The reality is people have already seen you, and recorded your coming and goings. That is the realty of the world we live in now.

Whether the law is "idiotic" or not, is still THE LAW. And if you are a Canadian citizen, I suggest you contact your MP to change the law. Probably sooner rather than later because if the polls are accurate, Trudeau's government will get shellacked at the next election.
And what exactly do Larry Flint and Congressmen paying for sex have to do with Canadian immigration officers enforcing their border laws?
Do you object to Canadian border patrol doing their job by preventing non-citizens they suspect may be trying to cross their border to work illegally?

Either they have a large clientele, enough to afford the luxury of not replying or takling new clients, they might not know how to answer the questions, they are not interested in accommodating for specific requests, or they are full of it and have no clue/interest about giving massages (hint: some are not certified and also have a profile in the escorting website, probalbly emphasizing other services).
There might be other reasons, but those are the most common that I have found. Since there is a growing pool of masseurs to choose from, I'd just move on to the next, especially since I'm the paying customer.
I have found some who actually schedule a call before booking, where they aske similar questions. Some provide choices during the appointment. But you're not doing anything wrong with asking. Not only you are the client and entitled to have a clear idea of what service you will receive, but also seems like that questions that you are asking are not about unreasonable things.

I think a consultation is appropriate,  even if it is something as simple as an exchange of messages.    I realize some clients may want to discuss by phone,  text or even in person.    I've had several face to face discussions with potential clients in person (one via zoom) about my work as a provider.   I should not have any objection and take the time to make sure the client is comfortable and all reasonable questions are addressed.

Your questions are fine. Masseurs that don’t answer specific questions don’t really need/want the work. Best to move on when that happens.
I concur with the points from others above. A good masseur will answer all your questions, even if he’s delayed in doing so. Never hurts for him to say “I can respond after x time”. Sometimes a text comes in and I have literally 2 mins or less until my next client is at my door and so I can’t actually respond right away, but text the client I will get back to them later, with an approximate time, and then follow up later. If I am already with a client, I respond as soon as the session is over.
The only question you mentioned I might change is the open ended “Tell me about your massage”. I have stock answers saved on my phone to copy/paste, so it doesn’t really bother me. For other masseurs, this might be asking for a lot, for a number of reasons.
They don’t know what exactly you are asking. They may send you a long general description, but it might not cover things you want to know. Are you inquiring about their modalities? Stretching? Pressure? Tools they use? All of those are easier to answer individually, in the same way you ask about the bed vs table or oil/lotion questions.
When I get the vague “Tell me about your massage”, or worse, “What’s included with your massage?”, I am left to wonder: is this client asking me to tell him about extras? If I tell him about extras but he really was only wanting to know about things like pressure and style, it makes me seem like I don’t take my work seriously, like it’s just a rub and tug.
When I tell him only about style and pressure and whatnot, he’s frustrated because he may really only be interested in the extras info. It’s a catch 22. Also, not everyone offers extras, and those that do are sometimes uncomfortable putting it in writing. That’s why a lot of masseurs might avoid the question. Often I will ask the client to be more specific with their questions so my answers will be more direct and relevant to what they want to know.
You might consider asking more pointed questions or yes/no questions about things you care about, especially regarding anything erotic or sensual. Is x included? Do you allow y? Are you nude during the massage? What pressure do you use? Do you offer deep tissue?
It’s uncommon, but I like it when a client tells me exactly what they want. It makes it easy for me to say “yes, no problem, I offer all of what you described.”  And then I know what to do to make that client happy. Occasionally, I may have to say “I offer everything you want, but I charge differently for xyz. Here is my rate structure: … ___”

Maybe some grammatical efforts would help people understand your messages.
But in all seriousness..although your argument for deposits-paid-if-you-want-to-get-laid,  may be valid. Most everyone who's been in the game for a while as a client, has been burnt or knows someone who has. So there's no reason to get all flustered and indignant when someone says NO. Most everyone with experience is in that category, no matter how much you try and validate your pro-deposit business model.

His vibe of the enjoyment not being mutual would have (and has) been enough for me to remove him from my list. There are plenty of equally (if not more) enjoyable providers that give better vibes, whether genuine or not. It's my money, it's my fantasy, it's my experience. Why should it not cater me and my needs first?
That said, sometimes there's doubt about that, there's a chance that I have misread the "vibe", so I guess that in your case the text confirmed what your own intuition was telling you.

Man I miss the CL days. It is what got me into receiving massages.
I had some amazing experience that where so much cheaper than anyone on the other sites.
I also agree that price does not equal a better experience. In fact for me personally I have a cap and if a provider is above that I just don't engage.
I never ask a provider to reduce their fee I just move on. I know what a sensual massage is worth for me. I also leverage the idea that I may get a did no matter what the reviews say because each experience is unique.
