Good morning all! Thanks so much for the kind words- a friend(I don't use the word 'client' regularly, because I feel most of my 'clients' end up becoming friends to some extent....a few more so than others 😉), told me I was being discussed...and he set the hookl, requiring me to come on and actually check it....so here I am. 

Couple quick updates to explain the absence...because I'm not sure if I made them earlier. My Father, after his longstanding health issues...did end up passing away back in late May....and that obviously threw me for a hard loop, given how close I was to him. Ironing out his house, his taxes, his estate- all of that is nearly a full time job; thankfully my brother took the point on that. 

In order to keep myself focused on something, I ended up becoming invested in a Veterans Parachute Demonstration Team- which performs at airshows, commemorative events like Normandy D-Day invasion, you name it. The primary role of this is fundraising for the care of the WWII Veterans still alive, and to give them an audience to still be heard and valued..and it's one of the best programs I've been involved with in my life. 
Am absolutely still escorting- and will kick up the road game slightly in the coming months- needed to get the calendar of events for air shows a bit clearer, so that I could build escort trips around them. Double duty for me, as always LOL. 

A genuine thank you to all of you who have continued to be concerned for my well being; whether I'm in the industry still or not.....that speaks volumes to YOUR character, even more so than mine. Poor, grainy pics are usually the first clue the provider is a scammer.  Nowadays any cell phone takes excellent pics so poor quality photos is usually a bad sign.  I then look at the reviews.  If they have been an active provider for years but have no reviews, another red flag.  Ever changing travel dates and locations is usually another.   Unless someone has a travel pass, how likely is it that the provider decides every morning where he is going to travel and purchase tickets that same day?  Lying is a big one.  A lot of us clients talk to each other.  When four of us ask a provider about a particular service, their availability, rates and so forth and get four different answers (very common unfortunately), I immediately take them out of the running.   If they are so apt to lie to potential clients, just think of what they'll be like if you actually meet them.  Hopefully this is helpful and will be useful if/when you rewrite your ad.  

In the ad I like to see that they are open to all ages.

I don't have a particular thought to add to the $500 price point per se other than my upper reach for one hour is $350. I just simply can't spend more even if the provider is fantastic. The funds don't exist for more. But I would like to briefly address this idea that threads and discussions on pricing are tiresome and should be limited, etc. 

I don't think they are tiresome. In fact, they are 100% core to why this website even exists. The exchange of $$$ is completely what this is all about. Almost all discussion would be rendered moot if you take money off the table. This site is not about no-money-exchange Grindr hookups. So the fact that some members of the forum would like to get a better lay of the land regarding what others pay for an hour in various places and situations is a very natural discussion point to me.

The landscape has changed A WHOLE LOT in just the past two years in regards to pricing. And I just got back on the forum recently. So personally, I find such discussions helpful. What I don't find helpful is people weighing in with sighs and arghs and "here we go again" and such. If topics about pricing ain't your cup of tea, just go get a different drink. No one is forcing you to participate. There are other posts on here. Why should those of us who want to explore price ceilings and affordability feel stifled into silence because you're personally not interested in this topic?

I do not believe that there is a primary rule to protect yourself. 
If you happen to get together with a provider who has rotten motives and he wants to hurt you to get more money, all you can do is fight (defend) or try to get away from him or give in and pay more money.   
Finding the right way to separate yourself from the bad guy is usually not easy but it can be done. 
Most providers are good people trying to make some money. 
Every now and again, there is the person, like is described by the author of this thread, who is truly a bad person. 
I think that the author is doing the forum a disservice by not furnishing any information on the provider such as what city he resides or where he advertises.  
 
 

Your own safety is of paramount importance.  Getting distance between you and him is a priority preferably to a public place with others around.  
While I believe you were in fear at the time, you should not be cowed into silence now.  Perhaps starting a thread with just a warning that this man is worth avoiding. 
Hopefully, you kept important information, such as your name and address, private.  
Stay safe in the future.  Inform someone where you are going to be and with whom you are going to be.

Sorry to hear this, I hope you are ok. I’d say never ignore the warning signs. If his communication with you was strange at the start then that’s a good warning sign.
It’s difficult because you want to give people the benefit of the doubt, and no doubt his pics etc looked hot but given that you’re intending at some point to be in a very vulnerable position with a stranger then you really should do the utmost to be careful about the type of guy you hire, and take notice of warning signs.
