Having someone sleep with me is part of the experience, but it’s not like it’s “hard” work to sleep…For a guy to say he “just can’t” do an overnight for less than $2000 when his hourly rate is $400 means he’d need five hires within the 6-8 hr time he’s with me to make that. I could see of he were saying he couldn’t do less than $1200, say, but it seems that it’s just a matter of not wanting to make less than $2000, just for example, for an overnight. The idea of it more than the economics.

I had that happen to me 2x over the years. Once I was accommodating and the eventual date was so-so. With the second man, I took your approach @ButchAtl and said ‘if you have to postpone, I understand but I’ll have to see you another day’…and as you related, suddenly it was fine to go ahead as planned and we had a good date.
