The world became a lot less interesting when Action Bar closed.

Many of us commuted to Budapest just for the sex shows and sex there with fantastic guys.

David Sweet, Kris Evans and Darius Ferdinand are all back home there now but I don't know if any of them are still escorting.

Hungarians are "different" and I don't know of any gay bars, much less providers other than on Romeo Hunqz. Bel Ami still has a studio there and hires some Hungarians if you pick through BA and find them. 

Hopefully others know of current things. I'd love a reason to make a side trip there again; it's a beautiful city.

No. Before my serious cruising time. "Darius" was mostly in London for his porn career and "Kris" was not in Prague or any other city I visit. I think Kris is into professional bodybuilding in Hungary now?? and Darius seems to be at home in BUD with his family?? IDK. I'm sure David Sweet is still in BUD but no word of him in several years. Yes, in January.  I went there on business.  Not to look for an escort.

I visit Vienna often.  It is only a two hour drive and almost three hours on the train from Vienna to Budapest.

Recommendations on Budapest?  Read the below linked article.  

The article likely explains why many of the former and popular gay places no longer exist.     

Action Bar, for example, was one of the most popular gay places to meet providers.  It is now closed and has been closed for about four years or so.  

On my last trip to Budapest in January of this year, the city was almost unrecognizable, except for monuments and business  places I remembered.  But the fun gay life was markedly changed for the worse.

I doubt that I will return to Budapest until and unless that anti-gay hating prime minister is out of office.  Even then, it will depend on which party takes over and what kind of laws they pass concerning the gays.  

Currently, the gay scene in Budapest is nothing like it was a few years back.

Sadly, you'll be waiting for a really long time then. He will most probably only leave office when he dies or decides that he has stolen enough and retires. Meanwhile the country is moving more and more to the far right except for Budapest where the majority of people is still somewhat liberal. But even if we'd elect a left-wing party in 4 years, they would never pass any laws regarding equality as the country as a whole, even most of the current opposition is homophobic. So yeah, better avoid this shit hole.
