As someone who rotates between London and New York quite regularly  over the past year ( though my travel patterns is slowing down now) , I noticed the following in 2022
- Boys in New York cost more ( naturally). Rates have in fact fallen slightly.
- Rates in London have largely held, much to my surprise, despite the cost of living crisis
- There is a premium charge to host in New York. ( which is the opposite of what it is in London. People come from outside of London, and expect someone to host ) 
- Almost no one in New York or the US uses whatapp to set up appointments  ever, which is almost mandatory in the UK. The guys in the US will use a messenger app instead.  Boys in the UK will often have two phones. 
- TOO MANY BRAZILLAINS IN LONDON. Which has its plusses and minuses.  Frankly I prefer hiring Brazillians in Brazil, but this isn't entirely a rule.
- Foreigners ( largely Americans ) routinely get charged more in London, but since I am practically pseudo local at this point, I have largely avoided this.  
- New York has nice healthy mix still of different flavors / talent.

Also in an RM ad sometimes they'll say they are available for skype shows (i.e. someone like David Anthony https://rent.men/DavidAnthony). They might also list it in their "available for" section. You can do a search on RM for "available for videos." Those providers may be willing to do skype sessions. Lastly put the word skype in the search field and anyone who has the word skype in their ad, should show up.

Offer to reimburse him for his room (that way you won't be on the hook for damages/extra costs), and then tell him you will only be paying for one hour of his time per day since he obviously doesn't understand the concept of being hired for multiple days.  Sure, guys need time off to go to the gym, reply to emails, etc, but requesting that you pay for a separate room for him is beyond the pale when, presumably, you are paying a fair amount to be with him for multiple days.  He's either hoping you are a sucker and will go for it, or he simply isn't cut out for the type of escorting work where the escort and client actually spend time together just hanging out.
Actually, I am just joking.  I wouldn't offer to pay the guy's room at all.  I'd just move on.

Have you thought about traveling to where he is? That way you're responsible for your travel fare, hotel room & expenses. Then you can hire him for as little or as long as you want to host him in your room. On the plus side, you'll end up saving money and get to explore a new area in your free time.

A perennial forum topic since early hooboy days. As many opinions as there are forum members. And almost as many threads on the subject.

I find threads like this to be very childish.  I often remind myself of all the things providers have to endure, i.e, clients of all shapes and sizes who expect providers to sexually perform at a moment’s notice, bad client personal hygiene issues, smoker’s breath, clients being pissed off because they only got 57.3 minutes instead of a full hour, clients complaining his dick is only 7.5 in when he advertised 8 in.The list goes on and on.  And yet there are those of us here concerned about nail polish.  
 
And spare me the comments that you’re paying good money to get what you want.  I don’t want to hear them. 

I think it’s a common assumption that the costs are low. Clients think it’s just costing my time to provide a service, especially if it’s an outcall and they’re effectively providing the venue. However it’s a lot more than just my time and a bit of massage oil. There’s cost of advertising, and for me there’s costs associated with renting a nice studio to work from, the cost of being available almost all hours (when often you can’t do other things in case someone wants to book), cost of trying to keep fit (trying!!!), regular waxing sessions, and keep healthy (regular testing) plus the cost if you catch something you can’t work for a week at least. I get regular massage training which also costs. Then there’s tax to deduct from the gross income on top of all those expenses (only some of which are tax deductible). So it’s a misconception that if you pay the guy $300 then he’s got almost $300 to spend. I’d say at least half that goes on overheads.
I think the recession will be a dampener on rates but I don’t think you’ll see them reducing much (for guys providing a professional style service). I think the supply of guys will reduce as people leave the industry so that will act to stabilise rates. 

“Rates in Europe are lower.“ And vary by country and city. E.g. London rates are high for Europe but less than NYC. But Berlin is “low” rates. I’d say Paris is in between the two. Also availability varies by city too, much like in the USA but much better geographic coverage. Hunqz will give you a good idea if you just explore in it. 
 
“Different websites”. If you use RM in Europe you’ll be paying higher (think US rates or close or it) versus Hunqz or Sleepyboy. 

Wait! You mean if what I do was illegal I could charge more?

Found this, a law firm in south Florida that specializes in representing clients inappropriately touched (gasp) by massage therapists. 
Their Website welcomes these claims against massage therapists, such as this accused gentleman.     

I prefer to host or get a hotel. Just feel comfortable in my own home.
