i find it really unprofessional unless there is a good reason. Most of the time, you can tell from the text messages. With someone I met before, I am a lot more understanding and patient if I know this provider is a good guy but there are many providers who do not care. I recently booked a session with a guy (first time for us) and I confirmed a day before. On the day of the session, I had a brief exchange of texts around noon and reconfirmed the appointment. he was all ok and I asked him to text me when he is on the way (i gave my address already). I was so pissed because I confirmed twice including the same day and gave my address. He had my number so if having a condom or not was so important he could have just called me because he knew I was offline (i show my last seen on whatsapp publicly  and he is the same). I emptied my night for him and was super horny, so it made things worse. Anyway, I think he just found another customer, maybe he offered him a longer session or over night, so there was more money there. Just really unprofessional but he said he can meet another day. Hell no. The most disappointing part was that he said on his profile he takes pride in his job, enjoys this job and values the client blah blah. Just a bs in my opinion, so I never even bothered to reschedule. As much as providers value their time and charge a rate for their hours, clients pay that amount, so their time is probably equally valuable. I hate providers who only think about their own time but not the clients' time as well. I don't think a good sex will be provided by selfish people like them.

to me yes, I am quite used to paying 100 -150 euros in most european cities. London was quite new to me but maybe the oil money is spoiling them. If you are willing to pay 300gbp for one hour, why not take a weekend trip to Barcelona and have some amazing food and weather on top of hiring a few guys who are hotter than him and willing to do a lot. that is just my take.

I think most things are mentioned above already. Just want to add one bit. The general dating market as of right now is tilted toward white guys so the providers also have to deal with its consequences. Many non white clients might hire white providers to simply get what they don't get in the usual dating market. Same for the fetish, just like some of the providers detailed the clients fetish above, many guys are not into those fetish or freak out or sometimes guys just assume the worst and not even mention it. So they go to providers. Successful providers would feed them and turn into cash. 
Be it race or fetish, it's still difficult for clients to bring it up. But I think race thing is getting better gradually and slowly. At least you see less no black or Asian etc on grindr than before. I am sure many still have strong racial preferences and end up in their shallow box but at least they don't outright offend people anymore. They are unlucky not to see what's out there but I don't care much, as I can enjoy it with less competition. I still see no fem and age restrictions a lot on grindr, which will take forever for these kids to understand the deeper issue. I’m always upfront about the minimum I’m looking for: “Hi I’m looking for a therapeutic massage with some sensual elements throughout, both nude with mutual touch and release. It must be very difficult if your sole source of income is from doing sex work. I’ve been doing it 5 years now and I can kind of predict the revenue stream but it’s patchy and, especially now during a pandemic, unreliable.
I understand why Jarrod is annoyed at clients who are sketchy because you try to accommodate them, you try to be available but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. You’re thinking ‘ah great, I’ll hit my target’ and then they flake. Often with no stated reason. That can be really annoying if you have cancelled other arrangements to be available.
I get a lot of last minute requests “are you available today at 3?” for example at say 2pm. The answer is almost always “no, sorry “. I could say that I would have been had you asked yesterday for today but now I’m doing something else….but I don’t because it’s not worth being that spiky. I just say that it’s best to book a bit in advance if possible because I get busy and leave it at that. 
This is a customer service business and regardless of how we think the customers should behave, in a customer service business the customer is always right. If they think I’m too expensive, not hot enough, not flexible enough, a bad masseur etc then that’s their prerogative. They interact but won’t book if my proposition doesn’t attract them enough. Clearly for me there’s enough clients who are happy with my package (me, the massage, the sex, the rates, the availability etc) that I get enough work to keep me in the business. When the clients dry up I’ll know to stop.
I do other work too (justforfans lol) and non sex work so that my income is regular. It’s too random to rely completely on provider work. I don't know you well but from the way you wrote it and your way of responding to these guys will only make you feel worse. I am not sure if it works in your field,  but if it is bothering you too much, it might be good for you to think about switching your profession. I am not defending those who are flaking and not committing but your business is by nature full of them. Many bored people could just play with you and waste your time and you have no way of knowing. So you just have to learn how to let things go instead of responding with nasty words. Better to accept the nature of it and try to find a way not to let these get into your nerves.

The escorts have some reservation price and I don't wanna cut that out of the respect for them, even when I have a different evaluation of them.  Sometimes I wanna say things you have said to those flakes because I completely disagree with their own evaluation but who am I to judge? I just don't let this get into my nerves and hope the market will sort it out. When we negotiate, they usually put me in the "cheapskate" category as you say and they start looking down on me so the experience is usually not so good.
The most difficult part, where in rare occasions I become noncommittal, is when the escort is not so hot (that I would jump on the date immediately) and the rate is above the market rate and the reviews are amazing. I kinda wanna try him but I don't really want to because he is not hot etc. That is what is going on in my mind. But this is quite rare and I try to be nice to them and make a decision quicker and move on.
