There used to be...  A gigantic benefit, but that time has since passed.
Now, this is a place for an established escort to come and banter.  Balance out the scales a bit, as it were.
If you can balance honesty and informational, you'll always do fine here.

I enjoy seeing posts from escorts.  I get a feel for what an evening's conversation might be like.  I also understand that a minority of the clients on this site are not respectful of the escorts and that at times unsubstantiated claims are made against escorts and there is no way an escort can come out looking good once that happens.  If he responds in kind, he is deemed a hot head.  If he ignores it, it is assumed to be true.  If he explains it is taken as an excuse.  So toward that end, it is an all lose proposition.
So escorts wind up leaving by choice or force of negativity.  Similar to what has happened to the few women posters on this site.

Some reasons off the top of my head:
    - awareness. Many may not know about It.
    - benefit. There really isn’t any. You can run a successful business and not participate.
    - this forum really isn’t for us. Even the “ask a provider” section. We get talked over (“not a provider, but…”) talked about by people that hide behind screen names and profile pics, and the questions asked either force us to frame ourselves in negative light, or are just someone looking to validate something they’re already gonna do.
    - anything you say, can and will be held against you. Sometimes it’s best for us to just be quiet. That’s why I participate much less than I used to, and often just lurk to keep up.

    hope that helps!

One of my favorite topics! Entitlement, smugness, lack of consideration for others, an attitude of "I'm paying so whatever I say, goes" or "I'm the customer and the customer is always right". You can find a little bit of that obnoxious childish sentiment on here, in fact.

I can handle arrogance and ego, to a point, until it goes into the territory of entitlement and insult to others.

I also usually don't give second chances to flakes/no shows either. That kind of goes into the category of "lack of consideration for others", but I get it.  People can panic and be anxious around something as vulnerable as sexuality. I'll cut those people some slack. But if you didn't show up because you "found someone else" or just changed your mind, then no. The least a person can do is message if they are canceling. I'm not wasting my time on you again if you couldn't even give me the bare minimum courtesy of telling me that you're canceling at the last minute.

Very rarely have I regretted an appointment. I'll be pretty quick in detecting the entitlement right away and not even entertain meeting such characters in the first place. The flakes are harder to detect, but once you flake then nah not again. So my zero tolerance for flaking and entitlement has done me pretty well in preventing appointments I'll end up regretting. My sanity and self-respect are worth whatever amount they're willing to pay. The power to decide who I meet is one of the greatest perks of this job.

rn901 got a reaction from mike carey in To providers: Are you the same person with your clients that you are in your personal lives?
Depends on the client. Some allow me to be my natural authentic self more freely than others and those tend to be longer term regular clients naturally. Others want me to play a role for them and that will be fun but eventually my real self will need to let itself out every now and then. It's kind of a spectrum really and I have clients who exist all over this spectrum. There is no "typical" client and I attempt to adapt to their proclivities accordingly. You kind of need a natural talent of being able to adapt to a wide variety of personalities to be able to do this job. Of course, there are some clients who extend beyond my limits and I won't be able to adjust to. At a personal level, they are past thresholds I can't tolerate lol. However, one needs good people skills and a natural knack in getting along with a wide spectrum of different types of people to last in this business. The clientele who allow you to be your natural self and who enjoy your natural self are friendships to be treasured.

The lines between fantasy and reality always need to be remembered by the provider for them to adjust back to their daily personal selves. The work requires a certain type of mental strength. I can see one losing themselves in a sort of chaos with this work. Changing from character to character to suite specific clients, they lose track to who they really are. Kurt Vonnegut's novel Mother Night kind of reminds me of this struggle. It is the story of a spy in World War II who loses themselves in the ulterior personalities they've created, one as a Nazi propagandist. The novel poses questions about how much responsibility does one bear of their actions if they are simply "playing a role". Where are the lines of reality and fantasy drawn exactly? After an extended amount of time performing, who am I exactly? The work touches upon all kinds of questions of ethics, what it means to be human and knowing your self. All such questions are relevant to any provider who has done this long enough, even more so if such work has involved a certain level of kink and sexual fantasy. One must stay grounded in who they really are. Their sense of self needs to remain in tact. Obviously the challenge is even greater for those struggling with various mental health issues. The job isn't for the weak. One's versatility and adaptability will be stretched to new limits, and staying true to your self in the long term is an obstacle that requires a certain mental strength few possess.

I don’t know if my experience is typical but I personally have never encountered racism while I’ve been working. Although, I’m aware you can find racism in any state, and any city if you look for it. I dont tour cities anymore but when I did, I had no concerns about going to any city, I just went where the clients were, regardless of the demographic makeup. I have clients on all ends of the political spectrum. A good client is a good client, so I never judge a city by its politically leanings or demographics. I selected the cities based on which areas would be most profitable for me and never experienced that kind of negativity.

Reminds me of a sociology professor I had who basically said that employers pay employees to set themselves (particularly their emotional selves) aside.  His point was that workers are not just paid to accomplish a task but also to do so without letting themselves get in the way of work.  My favorite escorts have been men who are a good mix of being genuine and providing fantasy.  If someone is too detached, it's very difficult for me to have fun.  I have no delusions that these guys would have chosen to get in bed with me if they weren't working, but a good escort is someone who can create pleasure in the moment with clients and not convey, even subtly, that the only reason they are there is money.

Again, most of them are honest when it comes to their intellect but sometimes, they have to play along about politics, role of women in society, etc. Many clients after hiring have the need to reclaim a higher moral place in society and need to put down others to achieve it.

I'm sure in most cases escorts are... but I do know about some escorts who misrepresent their age, place of birth, birthdate, background, education, etc. to either make themselves more appealing to clients and also to keep their private lives as private as possible.

That’s it. But money isn’t the only reason, it’s part of the story yes but there’s also the fun of meeting people and the thrill of the work. You can’t do it for long if money is the only reason.

Considering omicron has really only been a thing since early/mid December, if most people are experiencing a decline in business, it’s more likely due to the holiday season, and a general decline that happens right now. Not to discount omicron, but it’s too sook to tell and the holiday causes discrepancies.

I'm not a provider (anymore) but here is my perspective. I have been vaccinated and boosted and live a healthy lifestyle. There will be more variants and surges to come, but life goes on. This is the new normal. It's not really a question of if we will get COVID, but more likely when,  and making sure that we are healthy and/or vaccinated (if you are comfortable with the vaccine) for when it comes so that it won't be so dire. COVID is here to stay for the foreseeable future folks (years), but live healthy, maybe get vaccinated, mask up, and keep living.

Whoever books first gets it. Simple.
Sometimes clients ask my availability and I let them know my days / times but if they don’t book immediately they risk someone booking and I’d no longer be available.
I’ve a few clients who regularly message asking about availability….but they never quite manage to book. Very strange. I stopped trying to understand these things ages ago.

rn901 reacted to GTMike in $500 the new hourly rack rate?
Interesting in that i don't find that odd at all, lol.
I assume that these gentlemen will establish their base opening 1st hour fee amount to determine how real a "new client" will be. So to me they're basically saying they'll "visit" for an hour at that base fee. But then if you're willing to spend $1,500 for an overnight and they feel you're safe and secure and otherwise a good client why bother trying to piece together the hassle of trying to schedule and travel around to 3 different clients hoping and risking others don't end up flaking?

I was quoted $450/hour and $1,500 for an overnight with a hot young porn star. Communications have been delightful and he’s as kinky as I am. Obviously, I decided on a 12 hour overnight. What an odd fee schedule!

If he's identified a niche in the SF market that is willing to pay him that rate, then more power to him.  He's at least put in a little more effort to his presentation than throwing a few random bathroom selfies on RM.  He's not my preference, but if SF has a niche client base that goes for that look and is willing to pay the rate, then good for him.  SF is one of the few cities I can imagine that working.

I just did a random search next month from LAX to London. American Airlines no less! Round trip from $552!  Therefore a round trip ticket from New York has to be cheaper.

To his credit. The housing market in SFO is ridiculous but from there to be able to charge $500, the offering has to come at par, even more when there are other providers in the market of better quality for a lower price. In my experience, all these crazy rates more often than not result in a precarious service.

I wasn't familiar with jock2go, so I just joined.  I searched my area and found a lot of guys who I haven't seen advertise on Rentmen in several years.  Seems like a site that maybe a lot of escorts joined a few years ago and just kind of forgot about.  Most of the profiles I looked at hadn't been updated since at least 2019.  Just my own feeling about it... I personally wouldn't contact anyone from that site.  I don't think most of them are even in the business anymore.

Important to remember that the first number is pre-vaccine and pre-Delta, so there is a variety of reasons for the difference. Knowing the variant breakdown for yesterday's hospitalisations would be interesting but would not reveal very much. Having the same figures for six weeks ago to compare with yesterday's would be far more revealing. Comparing those six-week-old numbers with last years' would provide a useful way-point in the progression of hospitalisation over the year.

rn901 got a reaction from LFABWC in Asian race play
The conversation began as a condemnation of the fetish outright for anyone who participates and saying the op has something wrong with them. Others said that the asian men who enjoy this fetish have something wrong with them as well. By all means, you do what you are comfortable with. I don't think anyone was disputing that? Condemning the whole fetish though and saying it perpetuates racism/oppression in society, as a host of others were saying on this thread, isn't too far off from the second wave feminists who said the same thing in past decades up to today about how pornography and bdsm perpetuate sexism and sexual violence. Condemning any consenting sexual activity between fully consenting adults doesn't strike me as progressive, but restrictive and reactionary. It seems puritanical more than it is woke.
