This weekend is interesting to find out about (I read this entire thread and a bunch of links!) and I am wondering whether to go and postpone plans to go earlier. Looks expensive because of the dates though so I am not sure.

It can be expensive or if you are so inclined, it can be done on the relative cheap. Canyon Club is popular with the group and it is relatively cheap. Cheap price, cheap thrills that keep me cheeping for weeks. Others prefer to go a bit more upscale. The dinner is at Trio and will be about $50 and the pool party is just fun. Oliver, the pool party host, is considering selling a limb to finance this year's party but he has sunk a limb into one party or another and seems to come out smiling on the other end.

You will meet some nice guys. Perhaps make a friend or two. Dare I say a possible lust connection. So move your date. You have nothing to lose but your inhibitions.

I also completely missed this and now think it may be too late to try to attend this year. I also feel like I am still a newbie on this board and wonder if it would be better to wait until next year since I am a complete introvert, sigh.

 

a newbie?....A NEWBIE??......you're a "Knight" and joined the forum back in 2014......:)

 

think about coming out.....Canyon Club might still have rooms and it is not expensive, relatively.....many forum members stay there and it's very relaxed and casual.....you'll have to make a bit of an effort to introduce yourself by username and/or real first name to the other forum members, but the entire group is friendly and very easy-going.....if you need a ride somewhere, ask around......

I do not know why I find this response so funny. I hope you decide to venture out it is great fun and there are just so many weekends that we have, but from the sounds of that tune you seem to be dancing around a no. So forget about definitely seriously looking into trying to attend and instead attend. Jump in, the water is fine and depending on where you stay, clothing optional.

I see why you find it funny; it’s about as noncommittal a response as one can write without saying no. But thanks for the encouragement, I am looking at flights and whether there is availability at some of the places mentioned on this thread ?

I'll only be able to attend on Sunday for the pool party, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

 

This'll be my first time, so I'm not sure what to expect but have fun and meet new people and of course, get to meet escorts face to face in a relaxed environment.

All of you who have never attended PLEASE make the effort to do so this year. It's great fun and a very welcoming group. If possible try to make all thee events. If that isn't possible then make as many as you can. I always looking forward to meeting and making new friends as well a seeing old friends. I'm already well along on planning the menu for the Sunday afternoon pool party.

Although it is possible, I do not think you could be more shy and socially awkward than I am. Do not get confused by my always incredibly smart contributions, my life-changing insightful comments, my witty and hilarious and at the same time deep and questioning sense of humor, and overall irresistible charm and sexiness.

 

I suffer social interaction as hell. However, not only I did survive last year PS week end, but also enjoyed it. It was indeed stepping out of my comfort zone, and a powerful learning experience. (this paragraph is not a joke like the first one)

 

I am sorry I will not be joining this year, but believe me, you will have a great experience. It is a unique (literally) opportunity for clients and escorts to mingle. It is a revealing experience to contrast our real life personalities against our online personas.

 

Some friends describe the events as a gathering of like-minded people. I disagree. Being into our hobby does not make us like-minded. As a matter of fact, I deeply disliked some of the attendants although of course not enough to break the molds of politeness and civility. But I also deeply liked many of the friends in attendance, I did make friendships that will probably be life long lasting, and I am still developing friendships that hopefully will be for ever.

 

As an illustration, the only reason I will not be there this year is that I am traveling to Mexico with a friend I made in Palm Springs last gathering.

 

Go. The worse that can happen is that you enjoy by yourself the dessert's sun. Well, you could also be harassed by @Ace, hypnotized by @stevenkesslar's mutant blue eyes, stuffed to death with delicious fancy snacks by @Epigonos , or drawn in @Oliver 's pool, but let's hope the worst that happens to you is choking with some dick(s) in Canyon Club's dark room.

I have to disagree with Latbear's claim to the crown of social awkwardness and and shyness. The weekend is probably the last place you would ever see me except that I just decided to go and ended up meeting some very interesting people. Last year (I believe) at the pool party I plopped my middle aged ass next to Traveller North under an umbrella and just struck up a conversation. Through him I met several other people because he seemed to be royalty at the event, including a star, Tristan Baldwin. Of course, I was also lucky to already know AZDR who carted my ass from event to event and also seemed to know a substantial number of people. In my experience, you will go to the dinner and then be placed next to people so it is easy to strike up conversation. The next day is the pool party and all you have to do is shove a substantial number of deviled eggs down your mouth and drink. And then if you want (and you are not staying there already) you can go to the Canyon Club and drink some more (or not) and just relax. It is pretty easy. So come.
