Why is it so hard to get information on this, how to ask a doctor, etc. Especially on this forum of sexually active "mature" guys?[/QUOTe]

Google trimix, ask your doc. There are youtube videos on how to give yourself a trimix injection. I have tried it once. I think the dose wasn't right. Didn't make me hard and burned like fire.

I use Cialis regularly (certainly 2x, sometimes 3x a week). I find it works really well for me; it lasts 36 hours or so and my erections are longer-lasting than without Cialis. I find that it kicks in 2 hours or so after taking it, rather than the 6-8 hours mentioned by another poster.

As an older man (lean and fit but nearing 70), I find Cialis has another great benefit. It shrinks the prostate so, unlike many older men, my urinary flow is good and the bladder empties fully. I don't need to urinate often and I don't wake during the night to do so.

Excellent write-up. I’m a bit younger, and although I haven’t had an issue getting hard, I’m more of a bottom, but would like to start topping again, and would probably need Viagra or Cialis to facilitate that. The prostate benefit is intriguing, although I’ve got no issues in that department, except for the occasional 2:00 am pee.

And, in fact, Cialis 5 mg is approved for BPH.

In many metropolitan areas there’s a medical practice with a variant of “male medical” in its name. They’ll see whether you need Trimix and what mixture of it - for stiffness of erection, duration of erection or both. The prescription is provided by a compounding pharmacy sometimes within the practice and comes in an injectable form than needs refrigeration. If you can’t find one in your area, skip seeing your doctor and make an appointment with a urologist. He (or she I suppose) will get you started or refer you on. Good luck.

Viagra makes it harder for me to reach orgasm. This is one of the reasons I prefer it over cialis.

I've never had a difficult time climaxing and having an orgasim while using Viagra. Is that a known side effect?

And never a headache to go with this sudden discharge? ;-)

I tried Viagra a couple of times but I didn’t like the headache it gave me. When I mentioned this to my physician, he said I had to use Viagra regularly 8x before my body would adjust and not give me a headache (he added that it was a common side-effect)

I'd never had the Viagra headache. My sinuses will swell on occasion, but it's nothing more than a nuisance.

It used to, but not any more. It used to give me unnaturally hard boners . I liked the rock-hard boners but not the reduced sensation. But, at some point, my system must have adjusted to it and the effect felt completely natural. I generally take a long time to come, but sildenafil doesn't have any effect on that either way.

I was shocked. All of a sudden, female condoms went up from around $2.50 to $10 each!!! What HAPPENED?? I am posting in this thread because people who are savvy in buying cialis and/or viagra, may be savvy in how I can get cheap female condoms. I need them ASAP! I don't want to be like Elaine in 'Seinfeld' where she asks men if they are 'sponge-worthy!' https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sponge-worthy

Well I got two shocks, one a sticker shock today.

I went in to my Kaiser HMO and my doc approved me for Prep, I took the quarterly tests and then went to the Kaiser pharmacy to get the price......$1000 for a 3-month supply ! Seems Medicare does not cover Prep. At all. (They have very limited coverage for Viagra also). I'll try a couple other pharmacies with discounts.

Then I got the results of my testosterone tests and they were on the very low side of normal which means I cannot get T Replacement Therapy. Doc said there are risks like heart attacks. My friend a weightlifter can get me shots for $120/month. I dunno. Everyone says TRT is a miracle. Damn.

Call Gilead too and ask for help...they are covering my Co-pay for I think the first year

If you use 1 mL injection per week (average dosage) you can get 2 vials of 10 mL each (total 20 mL which would be 20 weeks) for $75-80 using coupon from Goodrx.com. you just need your doc (or another) to give you a prescription.

They renew the subsidized help annually as of now. I work am a nurse and have gone to presentations on Prep and know Gilead drug reps, and that's the word for know. They subsidize up to a certain amount annually. Mine was renewed without having to reapply for it.

In San Diego and Denver where I have lived, you could get free female condoms at some gay bars, GLBT center, local city AIDS project and at the county STD clinic for free. Not sure where you live, but you might check it out.

Thanks. I just don't know how to get the prescription now.

Wow. Incredible the number of guys on the forum who can't get it up.

Interesting you should say that. Testosterone has more to do with desire than performance!
