Viagra or Cialis ?

Recommended Posts

So I guess the question really is does compounding provide a more effective transport mechanism into the blood stream than digestion via swallowing?

Under the tongue is much better absorption. Weigh it against cost.

This is interesting. Do they compound Revatio with an ingredient that makes absorption much more effective?

Same ingredient simply put together with different "inert" ingredients for quick dissolve. Under the tongue has traditionally had the best absorption.

Wondering if anyone knows a good online pharmacy the sells Androgel? My doctor prescribed it but as my testosterone is in the low but acceptable range my insurance won’t alwaya pay and it’s expensive, but I feel so much better with it than without.

My Medicare Advantage plan covered AndroGel but it was still expensive. My Endocrinologist then gave me a prescription for compounded version of testosterone that reduced the price from roughly $90/month to $45/quarter.

Well I got two shocks, one a sticker shock today.

I went in to my Kaiser HMO and my doc approved me for Prep, I took the quarterly tests and then went to the Kaiser pharmacy to get the price......$1000 for a 3-month supply ! Seems Medicare does not cover Prep. At all. (They have very limited coverage for Viagra also). I'll try a couple other pharmacies with discounts.

Then I got the results of my testosterone tests and they were on the very low side of normal which means I cannot get T Replacement Therapy. Doc said there are risks like heart attacks. My friend a weightlifter can get me shots for $120/month. I dunno. Everyone says TRT is a miracle. Damn.

Talk to your doctor about how getting your Truvada for free. I do not know what mine did, but even when I got already two letters from the company that produces it saying that my application was not approved, I am not paying a dime when I pick up my prescription from CVS.

My Kaiser HMO knows zero about the rebate program. If I could use WW Clinic they do but then my 3-month medicals wouldn't be covered. And Kaiser won't work with WW or vice-versa. WW Clinic needs to have a counselor to help with the rebates for anyone, regardless of their health plan. They don't.

Talk to Gilead not your doctor/pharmacy

Another male sex sticker shock. Kaiser will actually give me a prescription for Edex if I want. It's $140 per shot at the Kaiser pharmacy. Online I'm finding someplaces that claim $75 per shot.

With shots so expensive do you wait until you get aroused by someone new to excuse yourself to the bathroom.? Otherwise that's a lot to lose on a dud.

What is it with Medicare part D that they don't cover any ED meds for men? (In fairness they do cover penile implants when it gets that bad). It's us guys over 65 who need it most. This is how to defeat Trump.

I had the very strong impression that Medicare part D *will* cover 8 uses of Sildenafil per month for this purpose (generic for Viagra), although there is a (quite reasonable) co-pay. At least my Kaiser (north) group plan (as a retiree from a university) will, under their Medicare plan.

I'm sorry, you're right, Medicare D will cover 8 Viagras a month. I forget about that because I use 5 of the 20mg cheap ones instead more often. I should probably get a dual prescription.

But both Prep and Edex are expensive and Medicare pays zilch.

I never heard before about edex.

Wow. PrEP at $55 is really interesting, it could save tons of lives in places where people cannot get it from their insurance. Is this approved by one the world main health agencies, @marylander1940 ?

I don't know about that drug in specific, but everything else I buy from www.alldaychemist.com works well for me. If you google generic Truvada (PrEP) you'll see the pics of that precise medicine not available yet in the U.S. but widely sold in 3rd world countries.

I brought this subject up before.

Did just a little bit of research and it seems it’s all perfectly safe:

https://daviebuyersclub.wordpress.com/home/frequently-asked-questions/

Extract:

Mylan and Cipla are the companies that produce the generic emtricitabine/tenofovir (RICOVIR-EM and TENVIR-EM, respectively) described on this site. Mylan is the second largest manufacturer of generic medication in the world. Cipla is also a large generic medicine manufacturer, with over one million people living with HIV currently taking their anti-retrovirals worldwide.

Mylan’s product was approved by Health Canada on 31-July-2017. It is available in some Canadian pharmacies for approximately $250/month. Cipla’s product has not been reviewed by Health Canada.

Both of these companies’ formulations of emtricitabine/tenofovir have received tentative approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (US FDA). See 087 on the list for Mylan and 168 for Cipla. ‘Tentative’ FDA approval means:

If the product still has marketing protection in the U.S., FDA issues a “tentative approval” rather than a “full” approval. The “tentative” approval signifies that the product meets all safety, efficacy, and manufacturing quality standards for marketing in the U.S., and, but for the legal market protection, it would be on the U.S. market.

In summary, this status of FDA approval means that this version of generic emtricitabine/tenofovir is equivalent to the brand name and meets all quality standards that would allow it to be on the shelves of US pharmacies next to Truvada®, if this were not legally prohibited due to Gilead’s patent

Does anyone have experience with the penile shots? I know all the porn studios use them a lot and I suspect many escorts do who top. Guys here in DC tell me there's a traveling doctor from NYC who comes down to give prescriptions and there's an online site called Rev for Men or something but I'd rather deal with my regular docs (Kaiser). I hear the 2-3 hour boner is amazing.

My Kaiser urologist gave me a prescription but Kaiser's pharmacy wants $800 for 6 shots. I have a discount card a few places but when I checked at Whitman Walker's pharmacy they price it at $600 for six shots with the discount.

I googled and there are other meds that act the same in shot form and there are generic outside-US suppliers of the ingredient Alprostadil in Edex by mail. Taking a pill from India is one thing, sticking a needle in my penis with something from India is another matter.

Any experiences?

Most urban centers have a medical practice that goes by a variant of Male Medical. These places are most often legit: there’s an MD somewhere in the background although the therapist you’ll most likely encounter is a male nurse. They treat ED and offer testosterone injections. They may or may not accept insurance but their business model is more streamlined than the rest of the medical industry so their costs are generally lower. For ED they will generally prescribe injectable Trimix after giving you an injection to see how you react. As it’s name implies, Trimix is made up of three components which are adjusted to achieve a balance of penile stiffness and length of erection. Most of these practices will compound the prescription to suit your need right there.

Trimix is administered with an apparatus into which you insert the syringe. That apparatus is calibrated to insure it goes into your penis to the appropriate depth and no further. You can operate the apparatus with one hand while the other holds your penis in place. It is just a bit more uncomfortable than the diabetic’s blood/glucose test. Yes it’s a bit nerve racking to start with but by the third or forth time it loses its intimation. There are a number of videos on YouTube that cover this.

If memory serves, my initial visit cost $250 which included the examination, the apparatus and the first prescription. I currently pay $90 for three injections. There are volume discounts but in deciding how many to get at one time there are two factors to consider: Trimix has a useful life of just three months and must be refrigerated at all times.

When you ejaculate on Trimix your penis doesn’t immediately deflate and can actually become a bit sore from staying inflated too long. That is why getting Trimix adjusted and readjusted to you and your needs is important.

One final note, avoid if you can picking up refills of Trimix on Friday afternoons or Saturdays. The waiting room will be filled with men who would rather not be seen there and the wait long and tense.

If you get to choose the male nurse who practices with you it could be worthwhile. $30 a shot is not terrible. Much better than the $100 a shot of Edex.
