In the U.S., male drivers are far more involved in fatal crashes than female drivers, especially when speeding, alcohol use, or seatbelt non-use is a factor.

I'll take non-fatal and/or property damage over "buying the farm" every time.

As a man, I can reduce my risk by learning how to fasten my seat belt and not engage in competitive street racing.

For a woman, she'll need to learn how to predict the unanticipated movements of parked cars, buildings, and other stationary objects that jump out in front of her.  That seems like a more insurmountable hurdle.

It seems a pretty broad stroke to assume that women, categorically, cannot learn to fasten seat belts or not engage in competitive street racing and that men are somehow able to predict the unanticipated movements of parked cars, buildings, and other stationary objects while women, categorically, are not.

I tend to dismiss the categorical putdown of women drivers because I have seen so many women maneuvering humongous overland and city buses through some tight spots, as well as driving school busses and emergency vehicles.

One of my nephews and his female soul mate drove eighteen-wheelers back and forth cross country.
