I recently had a hook up with a young man who was a little outside my

normal comfort zone and personal preferences. I'm not sure why I even

went through with it other than "what the fuck...it's Vegas"!

 

When I first saw him in person I was still a little nervous about whether

I'm also confused by the content of the thread, but I really like the question posed in the title. Do I ever step out of my comfort zone when hiring? Yes, for me that is a key objective for this hobby. I used to connect passionately with men of all types in my early 20s. I used to be able to find beauty and sex-appeal in every man, and some women. Then I went thru a terrible loss, and I lost my mojo. I've been working on getting it back, and I have regained it with a more mature and appreciative perspective. The diversity of experiences with men (and occasional women) out of my comfort zone remind me how lucky I am to be able to try new experiences - if it ain't hurtful/damaging to anyone, why not try it?

Not really! I always look for guys who are built like gymnasts or bodybuilders regardless of age, heights, or ethnicity. I've been basically hiring the same type of guy since I was...well very young...and my parameters within my "comfort zone" is fairly narrow, so I have rarely deviated from that since the beginning. I know, that's not really the question. I think that hiring men who were counter to my ideal type was something I did so often so long ago that it's second nature to me now. After several years, I have to say I'm still open to trying different types and "styles," so not sure I have a comfort zone per se. I generally like guys taller than me, and prefer a friendly attitude to an aloof or cool one. But if something strikes me about a shorter guy, or one whose shtick is dominance, I'll consider it, and I've had some good times with guys who weren't "my type."
