After 45 years as roommates, my partner and I were married today. I was skittish as a young colt, but our worldly best men, Lucky and his spouse, got me through it. Now I will have to develop the gravitas suitable to a married man.

God bless you Charlie....so happy for you and your partner. It is amazing how far we have come from 'Stonewall'.

Too late for gravitas, I'm afraid. Stay just as you are.

And congratulations!

Congratulations, Charlie. There is a joke somewhere between gravitas and gravity but I won't go there today,,,,,Wishing you continued happiness. And we expect a tell all about the honeymoon.

CONGRATULATIONS, CHARLIE... I am so happy for you and your husband/spouse/partner.... how ever the two of you prefer to be addressed. I know that after 45 years there is probably isn;t much you don't know about each other, but, this does put a whole new perspective on your relationship in many ways. So, first, again, CONGRATULATIONS, second, Best Wishes for another 45 years of happiness together, and third, thanks so much for sharing.

Gravitas? In this weather, I'd suggest some granitas instead. Much more refreshing. ;)

Congrats to you and your husband (or whatever you will choose to call him now). Yay!!!! :D

Congratulations!

PS: You don't need to develop gravitas, you are just fine the way you are. (And I haven't even met you!)

I must admit to getting a bit teary eyed reading your post. I lived with my wife for 10 years before we were married and I did not think it would make a difference, but much to my surprise, it did. i hope that your marriage adds another dimension to your relationship. Congratulations to the blushing grooms.
