Let’s say a client is determined to treat you with extras (in addition to your regular rates) and you are presented with the following options:

  • Repeat, long-term visits
  • Routine tips (cash) for each visit
  • Some form of gifts such as gift cards
  • Taking you out for an expensive experience (VIP concert / sporting event, top-notched fine dining, etc.)
  • Anything else other than the above 4 options (please specify)

1.  If you can only choose one of the above, which one would it be?

2.  If you can rank them, what is your order of preference?

Tips, Giftcards, or expensive experience while great are never expected.  Spending time with a great client is much more important to me.

Thanks for responding. I wish more escorts participated here on the forum.

Definitely repeat long term visits. That’s how you build a good base. I’ve loads of repeat clients. You get to know what they like, it’s good to see them grow more confidence and more comfortable and the sessions get better.

I’ve been taken to dinners / clubs occasionally and whilst it’s interesting to visit some of these places and is a pleasant experience I’m not that bothered to go. Much prefer the client comes back. It’s a clearer confirmation that the service is good.

There were a good number in the past. Most of them were chased off or felt that long term contribution to this forum wasn’t beneficial for their business. There also may be some lurking around who don’t use their escorting name. I’m thankful for the ones that stay around, but I definitely understand why some choose not to participate.

What do you mean?

From what I can gather, some were harassed / bullied / trolled by some toxic CoM members here.  It stems from an inherent asymmetry in power and exposure here.  The clients can remain anonymous behind mysterious user IDs whereas some decent, genuine providers choose to show their real (work) identities.  Also, the secret clients have absolutely nothing to lose when throwing random (perhaps even unfounded) shades at the providers while the providers have a business and reputation to represent and defend when confronted with false accusations.  I'd imagine it could get very exhausting and time consuming.  That's probably why some providers quit CoM altogether and some take on a different alias when posting here.

I think 'filtered' is a more apt phrase than 'run off.'  There are several reputable providers who introduced themselves,  post often, and provide their links.  They have repeat customers and give great input, so they have no reason to be anonymous. Many of us are eager to see them when they come to our cities.

The ones that chose to leave or remain anonymous do so for a reason. That reason is that if we knew who they are and how they really feel about us, it would be bad for business.

@Wings246 hit the nil on the head.

@Jacob_b I’ve been on the forum and the previous iteration a long time. I’ve seen providers and clients verbally attacked/abused/confronted. Some deservedly so (I.e. the provider who caused a lot of heartache from what ended up being daddy’s last escort of the year contest)… and some for no apparent reason, other then not giving the pitch perfect response. Some of the remaining providers gave their reasons for staying or pulling away here: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/168636-encouraging-providers-to-participate-more-on-forums/

There is stuff publicly seen of course, but people don’t realize some of the negativity is directed privately via dm.

Anyway back on topic. 🙂

A buddy decided to start escorting and I told him to lurk here for a while. I apologized in advance for our boorish behavior. I assured him it was driven by our own insecurities, self doubt,  and negative self talk,  and usually had nothing to do with the escort.  I also reminded him that we are an unrepresentative group and the various things many of us insist are red flags might be irrelevant to the guys who hire him. He appreciated all the disclaimers and promised me he will seek out the delightful loving kindness that occasionally shows up here.

Love you guys!

I wish him luck! I don't think individual red flags or preferences should be taken personally. Both providers and clients have all had real experiences and their perspectives are likely well-founded for them.

What I have seen, is that good providers get unanimously raved about here, and hopefully it helps them.   For me,

https://rent.men/Froyfabricio

And

https://rent.men/zaynebright

Are top notch. There are a couple of ones who post here that I otherwise would have passed on, but their intelligence and humanity will cause me to reach out if they're ever in Orlando.

I think posters who can communicate well and are respectful of clients have much more to gain than to lose by being here.

If we're a good fit with each other, I'd always choose a repeat as opposed to some kind of tip in the moment. This is probably too obvious a point, but there's a really nice ease that can develop on a repeat. So I'd definitely go with that.

It's not really.  Not sure people consider the how the first meet can be awkward for both parties as you're getting comfortable first with the person and figuring out what works or doesn't work with the other person.

No, it's because we're a niche group of the overall client base and we can be somewhat insufferable with opinions/preferences that don't match their broader customer base that doesn't frequent this forum and they decide the annoyance isn't worth it 😆

If by niche group, you mean regulars that call out good and bad behavior, and share with as many people as possible, I agree. Which is why the good ones stay, and the others go.

By niche, i mean vocal minority of the overall customer base that have much more stringent and specific wants and needs that the larger customer base sometimes doesn't. Our idea of good and bad behavior isn't objective or universal and the fact some here think it is proves my point and the reason why Aamir told their escort friend to take what's here with a mound of salt.

This forum is very much like a sub-Reddit of a tech product where fans of said product/company gather to talk about the product. By the nature of that environment, you get the people who are the most nerdy and hardcore about that thing. You get the people who are the most forgiving and the people who are the most critical of said thing and almost no one in between. That's highly skewed.

The people in between are the biggest group and make up the vast majority of sales, and what they like and prefer isn't always in line with the likes and preferences of the enthusiasts on the forum. That's why product designers at those companies generally don't frequent those forums nor gear the product toward them. Providers who don't stay here aren't inherently not good, they're just being realistic and strategic about which customer group to focus on. It's nice if they take what's said here into account, but they definitely shouldn't exclusively focus on us. We are not the group they can best sustain their business on.

There's also plenty of users here who don't consider the provider perspective or can be combative with providers as seen on many threads in the Deli section where a user goes off for having a bad experience then the provider comes here to set the story straight with info the client left out or lied about. It can be very negative/toxic. I think it's more than understandable to not want to deal with that from a couple hundred regularly active users here when they could just focus on the thousands they're interacting with on rentmen/rentmasseur they already do good business with instead. So i don't think it's a negative reflection on any provider that comes here and then decides staying isn't worth it for them.
