Again, wondering if I'm the odd one or not ;)

The idea of paying for someone's OF or going to a strip club has absolutely no appeal to me.

Is hiring escorts/massage the extent of your paid male entertainment,  or do you also splurge on OF and strippers?

I’ve tried OF and found that after a one month subscription I get bored and never renew.  When I go to a strip club, my main goal is to find somebody I like and is willing to do a private.

I'll also say that subscribing to some guys' pages have saved me the cost and time involved in hiring them as escorts.  I figure that if a guy can't seem to have passionate sex with someone he's likely more attracted to than he would be to me, I don't need to pay hundreds of dollars to be ultimately disappointed with an in person meeting.

Completely agree with this.  Many of the guys have X accounts to entice users to sub.  This is often a FREE way to check out the goods before paying to sub even for just a month.

Talk about checking out the Goods!

As a bodybuilder, I had to strip in clubs. Onlookers and guys could check out my bodybuilder body (6'2"/260+) in person and making great choices to see muscle in person. Plus, chatting with me in person. That's probably the best way.

For providers that have made porn/ OF content, I use it to see how they fuck and also how huge their tool is.

It has happened a couple of times where I perceive their dick as normal size whereas the reality is girthier.

I do enjoy regular porn from time to time. And I subscribe to a site because sex work is work and people should pay for others' content.

That said, I'm not sure I've been to a gay strip club. There were many in Puerto Vallarta and it didn't appeal to me.

I tried a couple of OF subscriptions, but I find it boring compared to studio porn. I like a narrative as part of the fantasy. I subscribed to a guy we hire occasionally but I found it odd to watch him have sex with other people. Not out of jealousy but because I know how he feels, smells and tastes, so the video version is two-dimensional.

But, as others have said, I save most of my money for in-person activities.

I have no interest in OF or JFF.  If there's someone I want to look at repeatedly, following him on X gets me enough to keep me happy.  Other than that, free porn is fine for me.

That being said, there are a number of OF guys I'd definitely be willing to hire for escort services if they were interested.  I think I'd be a good client for them.  My needs are simple and limited, when I find someone I like, I stick with them for a while, and while I'm not made of money (or profligate with it), I'm comfortable paying a higher hourly rate than many clients.  Earning $2,000 for a couple of hours a month has to be less time-consuming than sourcing 200 subscribers at $10 a month.  But finding and communicating with guys on OF is WAY too time-consuming and too hit-or-miss plus there's no assurance they are any good at escorting.

So, anyone new on rent.men this month?

If I'm alone and masturbating to porn, I'd rather the free visuals online and the erotic stories like at Nifty, and of course reading blogs and comments on BateWorld and here.  If I pay, I want to have in-person connections with men, either from a masseur or access to a sex club/bathhouse.

I've only had one lap dance that my friend paid for, as I mentioned previously here on CompanyOfMen. I should have masturbated while he danced for me and on me.  I was too shy and nieve then.  If it were today, I don't think I would have paid for the lap dance unless he played with me and made me cum in public with a group of men who were also masturbating.

As for Only Friends and other contribution-based porn, no. There's too much free porn out there to enjoy.

But i am assuming that OF models are more expensive than escorts on RM?  What is the cost difference?  I generally spend $350-$400 on RM.

Some are and some aren't. I've seen some OF guys charge the same as RM-only guys for escorting, and I've seen some charge 2-4 times as much as RM-only guys. Just depends on the individual and how famous and expensive they perceive themselves to be and if they think the value they have on one side increases their value on the other side or not.

I'm not sure your math adds up.  First of all, it's going to take more than an hour for a content creator to put together an hour-long video unless he doesn't care about quality and just shoots and posts unedited footage.  But once that video is done and posted, it (along with the other content on the creator's page) generates income without further work.  Unless the guy isn't very popular (i.e., has few subscribers) shooting the video is more lucrative than seeing clients one-on-one.  All that being said, there are many, many creators on OnlyFans who don't have a lot of followers.  I think the average subscriber count is even lower than the 200 you used in your example.  When someone has that few followers, they probably are doing another job (maybe even escorting).  If someone becomes well known and has a lot more subscribers, though, they obviously make a lot more money creating and posting content than they ever would working as an escort.

I have paid for OF. i some ways i prefer it to "normal" porn as it's fromthe person theslves, not via a third party studio. It's gratifying in a way to have the real person whom i've seen do much studio work rate a dick pic/vid i sent.

I've never been to a strip club. I get the appeal, but i prefer actual sexual contact or engagement. Stripping isn't about sex per se. It can be in some cases, but many clubs prohibit it.

I suppose all sex work has its differnet USPs and appeal. None is "better" than another.

You may be right, but my thinking was more about a creator earning some additional income from me rather than ditching OF for escorting.  I assume the creator is already doing all that he can to produce OF content that increases or maintains his subscriber base and that the couple of hours a month he might spend with me would not interfere with that at all, so what I pay him is additive to his OF income.  Now, if he's very successful on OF, my money doesn't move the needle in his income, but for a guy with average or lower subscriber counts, what i pay could be a significant boost to his income.
