Boardwalk 2.0 Teasers - Nude License?

Hi all,

 

Not sure if everyones's been seeing Boardwalk Fort Lauderdale's frequent posts this week.  They are teasing a lot of Boardwalk 2.0 that's a 
"new world" with X content. There had been rumors they were trying to acquire a nude license.  Apparently there is a preview tonight.  Adding screen shots from Boardwalk's Insta and their head bar tenders Insta.

Nothing on there web site. Dont know if they are even open yet.

Anyone been since they reopened. Are dancers now nude or do they still wear underware.

It is HIGHLY unlikely that local laws will permit nude dancing and alcohol in the same place.

Unfortunately, the business does.

Las Vegas had several fully nude strip clubs that didn't serve alcohol, but they all went out of business without the alcohol sells to keep them afloat.  The irony was that the youngest of strippers (those aged 18-20) worked fully nude, because they could only work in clubs that didn't serve alcohol.  Once they turned 21, strippers would move to work in the clubs that served alcohol but where they kept their underwear on, because the alcohol attracted a larger clientele.

Went to Boardwalk last night.  Renovations are nice - modern new barstools with little to no back support suck!  Otherwise pretty much the same cast of characters and vibe as before.  Only noticeable change was staff and security dress professionally (black suit without tie look) and oh yeah $15 cover on a Weds night.   I didn’t check out the back room/ lap dance area as no one there captured my fancy.

Wow! $15 just to walk through the door.  Of course, you are going to buy a drink and you're already out $20 or more....I may try it one of these days, if I can manage to stay up and be alert after midnight.

What is it about clubs like this that start the action so late?   Partying after midnight is not the norm for most Americans.  If they would start earlier, they would make more money.

There is literally no one there early.  I went in between 11:30- midnight and there were maybe a dozen patrons.

Went there once about that time also and it was empty.  I was hustled by a lonely dancer, but I left and went back to Johnsons.

I take a "party nap" in the evenings before I head out, usually arriving at a strip club or bar around 1am when things start to pick up.  The Boardwalk starts getting busy around 3am.

Is Boardwalk quite full of patrons at 3 a.m.?   How many dancers?  Do the Johnsons or LeBoy dancers go there for a second shift?

Some of the Johnson's dancers go to Boardwalk afterhours looking for Transgurls.  Just saying...

last time I was at Johnsons there were a bunch of straight girls in the parking lot getting the dancers( who were chatting up the ladies)  to verbally strong arm patrons trying to  get them to assist in  having them enter by  bringing them in as their guests . total vibe kill. its was disarming . these was cisgendered women .

I went to Boardwalk last night (Saturday) at 1:30am.  There were 3 employees outside (in black suits); they pat you down before you enter.  Cover was $15. There were 30+ customers and probably 20+ dancers.   The dancers are not my type, they are older, muscle guys; but I thought I would stop by anyway.  There was 1 twunk type.  They are very forward, asking immediately if you want a private dance, instead of "hi , my name is .... , what is your name,  etc." . Another 3 or so employees in black suits standing at various doors or entrances inside the bar.   2 bartenders at the main bar, no bartender at the back bar. I saw a few dancers get on stage, there is no Nudity.  One danced in his jeans.  At one point, there were 2 dancers in their underwear on the bar dancing. The vibe to me did not seem as friendly as other bars I have been to, but maybe that is just me. There was a customer sitting at the bar smoking cigarettes, and there were several ashtrays on the bar.  I am used to the other bars that only allow smoking outside. Wouldn't go again (as expected) since my primary place when visiting is LeBoy. LeBoy was 95% latin dancers (which is normal) and 90% twink.

"The dancers are not my type, they are older, muscle guys"... how old would you say these dancers are- 30s, 40s?  Are they same ones that dance at Johnsons - there's one dancer at Johnsons who must be in his late 30s or maybe early 40s but he is in phenomenal shape?
