I'm on the lowest dose. I wonder if I should ask to go up a dose to try and get to 160. I'm just under 5'8" ... I'd ask. I didn't see any issues with going from 2.5 to 5 as far as side effects. Congrats on dropping down 40 lbs in short time! ericwinters 1

sydneyboy Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 An update on my weight loss journey. I started Mounjaro on 20 January. I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 4.4 kgs. I’m pleased with that.
+ PhileasFogg Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Over the last three years, I dropped 4inches in my waist and added a lot of muscle. In the last few weeks, I gained 10! My core diet and exercise routines are unchanged. My only rationale is that I haven’t been diligent in avoiding gluten which triggers an inflammatory response. So, I’m recommitting to clean eating AND got my first Ozempic shot yesterday - after consulting with my Dr - to see if I can resync the trend. He recommends Mountjaro, but didn’t have a sample on hand. So we will go that route if I tolerate the ozempic Edited March 5 by PhileasFogg
mizuki777 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I've been on Mounjaro for nearly a year and , please be careful with the dosage. While I did lose the weight, the side effects were way more than I bargained for. I dealt with some severe stomach issues that just wouldn't go away even after I stopped taking it. To resolve this issue from a legal standpoint, I have been connected with GLP-1 Drug Lawsuits after my doctor admitted the drug caused permanent digestive damage. It’s a lot to handle, so just make sure you’re talking through all the long-term risks with your doctor before you start, especially if you have a sensitive stomach. He could not leave his house for more than two weeks and he was off the medication for another month. In that time he regained the 30 pounds he had lost. A family member had a similar reaction when raising her dose of Mounjaro. She’s now back on ozempic (which she had been on first) but it’s not really impacting her appetite or helping her lose weight.

+ PhileasFogg Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) I’ve been on montjaro’s lowest dosage for one month I still lost 12 lbs in a month with no side effects. I’m going to experiment with the next dosage to see if this track record holds…I have no desire to push the limits to where I feel like crap Edited April 8 by PhileasFogg DenverDad and + Lucky 2
pocono Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I started it on 12-1-25, was about 236 lbs (I’m 5’9) and have lost 25 lbs. while I have felt full…no other real side effects. Good luck! BigDMike, ericwinters, sydneyboy and 1 other 4
samhexum Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Two doctor appointments today. I lost 2 1/2 pounds in the last three hours but my BP went from 110/60 to 110/76. Got the PA I usually get who was born the same day I was
sydneyboy Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 I have now lost 9 kgs and my blood pressure has gone down. I am now on the lowest dose of my blood pressure medication. I can now get comfortably into every pair of pants in my wardrobe something that hasn’t been possible for years. All very encouraging. Bargara Leatherboy and thomas 2

Bargara Leatherboy Posted Thursday at 02:56 AM Posted Thursday at 02:56 AM I was on Ozempic for a couple of year for my diabetes, and while I lost some, it stopped working. A couple of years later my diabetes results went up a lot so new endocrinologist (after a sea change from Sydney) suggested Wegovy. Just done 3 months worth and gone from 124 kg to 109 kg, going up a level next week, so far I am happy about how it works. My only issue is now I have lose skin around my throat - so I guess I will start to look older as I thin down ......

+ PhileasFogg Posted Thursday at 08:52 AM Posted Thursday at 08:52 AM I’m 10 weeks in on Mounjaro. Weight loss is good - 192 to high 170’s- went from 2.5 mg does to 5mg dose. No improvement in rate of weight loss, but for two days after the shot, my gut is in turmoil and the sight of food is repulsive to me. I’m stepping back down to 2.5mg
+ Pensant Posted Thursday at 01:32 PM Posted Thursday at 01:32 PM The whole GLP-1 phenomenon scares me a bit, even though I am fit through diet and life-long exercise as some who have met me can attest. I still have a 32” waist at 5’11. I’ve read too many horror stories about side -effects and rapid weight gain once off the meds. That said, the experiences shared in this post confirm that for most it’s worth the weight loss, especially those with diabetes. I imagine these meds will only improve going forward.

My Dr suggested it. I pushed back due to horror stories - but he suggested that the horror stories were high dosage experiences. To me, the horror story is that continued results require continuous use - and for discretionary purpose, the word “addiction” can apply And yes. You are in fantastic shape and look considerably younger than you are! Edited Friday at 10:09 AM by PhileasFogg
+ sniper Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM My sister dropped about 60 lbs and stopped for a couple of months. She gained back about 6 lbs but held steady after that.
