This is indeed a better means of verification.

Also, there was a time I suspected a guy on Grindr was catfishing with stolen pics so I asked him to send me a selfie holding up three fingers.  Instead as 'verification' he sent a pic holding up a piece of paper with my name on it.  Not the verification I asked for and I could tell my name had been photoshopped on to the paper in the pic.

Not at all suggesting Gabriel is being deceitful here -- I believe him and the pic -- just sharing a scam to make you all wary of.

Yup, and I gave a comical argument for why it doesn't.  But the evidence weighs heavily on one side, and your comment re "current accuracy" of the photo is in alignment.  (I've never met this man.)

But a newspaper wouldn't "prove" anything in our AI world, either.  The man has gone to great lengths to present his case, with relatively little credible presented against it.  Skepticism is always warranted online, but when skepticism bends into conspiracy-thinking and ever-kookier explanations, the simpler explanation is more often right.  Occam's Razor.

The hullaballoo this provider evokes is too much.

This thread is weird. 

I just spent an afternoon with Gabriel at his place in Chicago and he was as beautiful, every inch, from top to bottom (and believe me, I tasted every inch) as those photos. 
 

What the photos don’t reveal is his sexy Hungarian accent, his quick boomy laughter, and his devilish smile. He’s the real deal.

It's pretty dang good enough for me-unless he really does have a folder at home full of papers with pre-printed dates. After all you can make a mock up of a newspaper too.  I think that's only a little less likely than him having a folder of future dates.

The photos are not outdated. Gabriel is not a scammer and everyone who's been with him knows he's the real deal. 

The photos look slightly different because he's slightly "fuller" and heavier--I think it's that phenomenon where a vertical shot, from a certain angle, makes something look taller,  or thinner, or bigger (lots of dick shots benefit from this trick--no digital enhancement needed) and different proportioned. So his face looks exactly like those photos except slightly beefier. He's definitely not overweight. He's super muscled--everywhere--and rock hard---everywhere. He's perfect. (And honestly, his amazing thighs look even better in person---although I happened to catch him on "leg day.")

He has also photoshopped a tattoo out of his photos. Did it change anything about his performance in bed? Nope. I'm surprised I had time to notice it. I asked him and he casually said, 'yeah...a tattoo from my youth."
