TonyDown Posted Friday at 08:23 AM Posted Friday at 08:23 AM I watched Titanic today for the first time. It won 11 Oscars. Yeah, I didn't love it. Call Me By Your Name. Was a smash hit at Sundance. For an indie film, it made a lot of money. I wanted to love it, but I did not love Call Me By Your Name.

As soon as it hit the iceberg I was, “Oh, for shit’s sake just sink already!” CMBYN, however, spoke to the 17 year-old me and the then-50+ year-old me. If you didn’t love it I can respect that. + MikeThomas, Danny-Darko and mike carey 2 1

It was the book CMBYN that I connected with. I remember being 17, and pining for a new, young, Italian adonis social studies teacher. I could imagine spending the summer at a villa with him. 🙂 Unlike the book, the movie didn't move me. Yes. To each his own.
