Somewhat related, I'm seeing ads that ONLY have premium pictures; so for a basic rentmen member like me, no pics at all.

I tried this just now. Logged into rent.men as a premium member and could see explicit pictures. In this case, the guy had his legs spread and I could see his cock and balls. Logged out of rent.men and viewed the same guy's profile and could not see the explicit pictures I just saw while logged in. I remained logged out, viewed the guy's ad on rentmen.eu and could not see the explicit pictures. When I logged in I could see them.

Seeing or not seeing explicit pictures is dependent on whether you are a premium member, regardless of which site you log into.

I don’t think that’s accurate. I don’t have a premium membership right now, and I can see different pictures depending on whether I log in on .men or .eu. On .men, only PG pics show up, but on .eu I can see all photos except the ones in premium or private galleries.

Yes, prior to this recent update cock pics were not visible at all to anyone when not logged in. No matter what site. But once logged in as a premium or basic member you could see cock pics. Now you can only see cock pics on rentmen.eu when logged in under a basic member account. There are two other pic options as well. The little flame on pics are xxx ones that only premium members can see that do not need to be specially requested to open. The other option is a locked picture gallery which need to be specially requested to be opened and you can be a basic or premium member. Then the videos on ads are locked to premium members only if they show any cock or sexual act. Although I've seen on porn star ads preview videos from a porn scene are allowed to be shown.

This is one of many reasons why I am building my own website. Linking to it from my ad removes all the barriers, paywalls, and bs so I can share with clients the information and photos I want to share. It’s exhausting being beholden to RM.

I noticed that there is a provider visiting my area who has one public photo that shows his either flaccid or only partially erect penis poking out of his boxers.  I would provide a link but I don't want to flag the guy's ad because I'm assuming he was clever about how he took the photograph and placed it in his ad -- at first glance one might not even notice the penis because he's still wearing boxers and the photos around it don't show his genitals.  Also, the boxers have a somewhat busy pattern so unless you look closely at the crotch area you might not notice the cock; the first time I scrolled through his photos I was just focused on his body and face, not the boxer shorts.  Hopefully some busy body doesn't report his ad to Rentmen to get the photo removed or moved to the private section since I, too, find it ridiculous that Rentmen no longer allows advertisers to include nudes in their public photos.

It is not a complete ban of nude pictures. There are still plenty nude pictures of rare ends. So it is a discrimination against the tops 😂.

It does hurt top providers. As a top looking to hire a bottom guy I can still see a bottom provider's ass pics but if you're a top provider with a nice dick you might have basic members pass right by your ad.

i have had no issues until this weekend. I have basic and now I can not see any nudes except the ones that a provider has agreed to unlock. I went into a few profiles where I remember dick pictures were shown in their ad and they are no longer there. Bummer. I like to see before I buy.

Literally as of today, i'm personally noticing that dick pics seem to be back to being easily publicly visible on rent.men despite being on a Basic account. Not sure if something changed, but i have one providers page open right now and of his 5 pics (all public, non-premium, and not behind his private photo album) are all full erect dick pics. So i don't even know anymore lol.

On second glance, i'm noticing all the provider profiles who's dick pics i can easily see again now, are all providers who pay for rent.men Platinum. So maybe the onus on paying has switched from clients needing to have Premium, to providers needing to have Platinum?

Yesterday a client was asking to view my nudes. I get tired of sending everyone pics individually when they are all available online. Assuming he was viewing RentMasseur, I directed him to RentMen, since all but two pics are in my public gallery, including nudes. The other two pics RentMen forced into a premium gallery because they depict kink interests, although they are not nude. The client told me he can’t see the nude pics, and I sent him screenshots showing that they are visible:
 

 

The client said he doesn’t see the photos on his end because he is not a premium member and showed me this:

Soooooo….. RentMen is telling me my photos are public, but they are, in fact, not. At least not to members without the paid membership. Sneaky. 

I HAAATE this! We providers pay premiums to advertise. I even started paying extra to be a “sponsor” and be featured as an interview of the day, among other things, to see how these may boost views. Such a waste when clients can’t view the ad content I am paying extra to promote.

Not letting clients view my photos creates way too much friction. I am losing out on prospective business. RM is charging me to post photos, and then holding them for ransom until clients pay a fee to view them. The clients may be frustrated about it, but they are not losing anything. They sigh and move on to the next ad, or give up. Most of them are not caving to the demand to pay a monthly membership fee. It’s like a retailer instituting a cover charge to browse the merchandise. Nobody wants to shop there. Because RM is essentially a monopoly in the US, they get away with it. 

I’ve had it with RentMen’s exploitation. I won’t let them be my pimp anymore. I’m working on a business website where I can post everything and make it freely available to prospective clients. Once it’s ready, I will remove the photos from RentMen, save for one primary photo, and direct traffic to my own website.

Same here, after my last post i saw pics available on all other member tiers for Providers. Can see Simon's pics as well and i'm a basic member.

I can see X pic's on rent.men but not rentmen.eu.  Each platform is different in which photo's are available to basic memberships.  Hope this helps @Simon Suraci

That happened to me all of a sudden a month ago.  I was able to see XXX pics, then I wasn't.  I texted the webmaster and he said I needed premium. I didn't try paying for premium.  Then suddenly yesterday, all of a sudden all the xxx pics were available for viewing. I checked the dashboard and I am still showing a Basic membership. So apparently they seem to cycle through allowing and not allowing xxx views and it most likely is an enticement to upgrade.  If there is a rhyme or reason to it, it isn't apparent.

Yeah this makes the most sense to me now that you said it. It's to give you a taste and then they take it away to get you to pay to get it back. Wash rinse repeat till they finally get you. Dating/hook up apps do this with giving you a free month of like Tinder/Grindr Gold to get you hooked on the pay walled features and then they take it away again so you'll subscribe.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the blocking/allowing of X pics on RentMen US or EU. I don’t think it’s a regulatory concern. It seems to be a juicing strategy; it’s to see how much they can squeeze out every client.

Please do share here as things progress. Note additional changes to what you can view on provider ads, and any communications you have with RentMen. I have a few choice questions for them about their photo visibility policy.
