No more X pics on RM?

I just logged back onto RM after a little over a week away and can no longer see X-rated pics (unless they are the provider’s profile pic on my buddy list)… has anything changed in the last couple of weeks?

Ah, this one is RentMen (where I have always been able to see X-pics when logged in).

If it’s Rentmen I am seeing X-rated photos in the main part of profiles when logged in as a premium member. I don’t know about the situation if not logged in or if non-paying. My location is Canada.

Hmm, I am not a premium member; just basic… perhaps they made that change to entice people to pay for premium.

I was with a client yesterday and he said he can no longer see dick pics, even when logged in and viewing his favorites. He has a basic membership, not premium, so as @ShortCutie7 suggests, I think this is a move to get more people to pony up for premium.

Seems to be that you can only see more graphic photos if you're a Premium Member.  Whenever I let my Premium subscription lapse, it all goes very PG!  

Same seems to apply to writing reviews.  For some reason it seems that you can only write them with a Premium subscription.  I guess, it's only £9.00 per month here in the UK and for all that content and access to some decent, hot guys, I'm happy to pay.  (Like to see what I'm getting in glorious technicolour).

Mine comes to £8.00 equivalent for monthly over 6 months. A bit more for 3-month stretches. It’s far less than what it costs to source actual hires in more face-to-face contexts, considering that I very rarely hire from Rentmen although some just happen to also advertise there, and I use Hunqz slightly more. Hunqz PLUS is €85.00 one year.

Exactly!  I have no issue with paying to access the site; if they did this to get more paying members, they should make it easier to “anonymously” pay (eg by using a Visa gift card etc).

I wonder if it not only has to do with what country you live in, but also which state.  Some states have recently enacted stricter laws and it does vary quite a bit state to state.  Just a thought...

I had the same thought.  The more conservative states in the U.S. may be requiring stricter controls.

It definitely still could be. The same way in the U.S. how auto manufacturers all make their cars adhering to California's emissions rules because it's too difficult for them to make different cars for different states/regions of the country that all have wildly different standards. Rules in some states for websites, depending on how they have to be implemented in the back-end, makes it easier for the website to just do a change across the board rather than on a state by state basis. Age verification laws are popping up all over the country and eventually will hit federal courts/attempt to be passed federally too. So it's not unheard of in situations like that for a business to want to try to get ahead of it once a certain tipping point is hit.

From their perspective, maybe if all the explicit content is behind a paywall, that then offloads the burden of age verification to the bank of the user. RentMen having to handle age verification themselves would mean them needing all of us to upload our IDs or other proof of identity and stuff like that and storing it (which they know would cause us to abandon the site). Or to shutter service to States with age verification laws like PornHub did in Florida earlier this year.

But it also very well could just be a profit driving decision on RentMen's part lol. The more features they put behind the paywall, the more likely people are to bite the bullet and subscribe. In their minds at least.

I’m in a red state that blocks pornhub, and I can still see explicit photos on my basic membership on Rentmen.

Yup, I just logged in and can no longer see dick pics. Currently a non premium member. Only dick pics I can see are ones in private galleries that have been unlocked for me.

It depends on the site. Rent.men locked all the fun pictures whereas you can still see them on rentmen.eu
