I'm sorry. I just don't get the "pup" thing. Like the dog mask does nothing for me. I can understand other kinks but this one completely escapes me. Please advise.

There are so many kinks I don't get.  I just scroll past or don't click on them at all.  Everyone's got different tastes.

It seems to be more prevalent with younger guys, at least that's my impression.  I never came across it during vanilla play in the 80s.  Today it seems to be more mainstream than kink.

I was talking to a pup (while he was wearing his mask) about this last night. He said he finds the anonymity very liberating. He has a very high level corporate job in Manhattan and can do things as a pup that he would never feel comfortable doing without the mask.

If the individual in the gear is hot to you ...and for you... you might get into it if other gear-oriented roleplay is part of your wheelhouse. Ask him how his puppydom fits into a session with a novice to it. And if you need to get any shots first. 😂

If anyone still "doesn't get" pup play, from my understanding based on what my friend who is into it told me. It's a gear thing of course, but it basically is just dom/sub play but specifically owner/pet themed. So one guy is the owner and the other guy in the pup mask is obviously the pup. It's about obedience, care giving, teaching the pup "tricks", praise kink play (sexualizing being a "good boy" and Pavlovian training), etc.

The pup play community has a lot of crossover with the Furry community (which isn't always kink/sex focused).

i am not into this community, but I know several people who are and in the pics they share, um... virtually none of them look like this, to put it bluntly. Also, the ones who.c9mpete fpr titles in it take it WAY too seriously.
