I typically hire when I want extreme fantasy experiences that I just can’t get from my relationships or hook ups. It sounds like you are hiring for just a run of the mill hook up or date experience.
 

Given the anxiety you have in going after what many of us would consider a commonplace experience (a blowjob with a fuckbuddy or boyfriend), I wonder if you have ever considered therapy? Therapy exists so that we gain self-awareness and mastery of our own lives. 
 

I am glad you finally broke through and had a sexual experience, and I’m also glad you shared it with a good provider who took care of you. In the future, it is certainly possible to have more of that without having to pay for it. If that is what you want.

Haha.  Three trips planned in the next 4 weeks. Chicago, Palm Springs and Key West.

There is one thing I’m curious about, though. The provider seemed surprised when I paid in cash, which made me realize that while we had discussed his rate, we never talked about the payment method. He wasn’t upset or anything, but he had expected a transfer through an app. It’s definitely something I’ll make sure to clarify in the future, but I’m wondering how common that is.

Cash is king but some providers are traveling and do not want to carry a large amount of cash with them.  Also, if you are going to what may be a seedy neighborhood, carrying a cash donation may not be prudent.   If you are carrying cash, stashed somewhere, like an envelop in you underwear may add to the safety of the money and can also add a bit of fun to the undressing during the meeting.
