Starting Massage as a Side Hustle

Hi, I really enjoy giving massage and I'm a total slut so I figure why not? I have a full-time job but get turned on by the idea of being paid for my services 😘.

Any suggestions for a first time rent masseur?

Advertise in the usual places, and expect to probably lose money either at first, or always if business doesn't improve. I don't know which section on here to tell people that you're "now hiring", but good luck. 

Allow plenty of time between appointments to change sheets and do whatever else needed to have the next client be comfortable. That would be my most important tip. There's nothing worse than being rushed out or come across the guy who went before me when I'm on time.

I know a guy who just does it through word of mouth. He's really doing it for the sex not the money though.

I’ll speak strictly as a client—so I defer to the professionals who actually do this for a living, but I’ll say this: If you’re offering a service, especially one where people are paying you for your time, body, and energy, then you need to communicate why someone should choose you.

Right now, this reads more like a fantasy than a business. You mention being turned on by the idea of getting paid, but from a client’s perspective, that doesn’t tell me what I’m getting in return. What makes you good at this? What’s your style, your vibe, your niche? Is it sensual, therapeutic, deep-tissue, connection-based? Are you intuitive, strong-handed, good with nervous clients? Etc.

This might be a side hustle for you, but to a client spending real money, it’s not a side experience. So if you’re serious, advertise with intention. Let us know what makes you worth booking—beyond the fact that you enjoy it.

Every guy I've ever given a massage to has loved it. The last two escorts I hired (I love giving massages) praised my massage skills and encouraged me to go pro. One said I was better than his regular masseur. 

But these are good questions. I certainly don't want a guy hiring me expecting a standard shiatsu massage in a specific order. 

What language can I include in my ad that would discourage that crowd? I primarily want to give sensual, tantric and nuru massage.

Even if you consider it a ‘side hustle’ you’ll need to be utterly professional in your approach: get decent pics done (not phone selfies), advertise your service (and like @ApexNomadsaid, know what your USP is), be available when clients want you which might be difficult if you’re doing full time work. You’ll need to be flexible with your time otherwise you’ll be turning a lot of clients down. Price your services correctly to fit your chosen market. Have a professional set up with a good table, proper oils etc. Be on time, reliable, consistent and customer oriented. In other words don’t treat it like a side hustle. 

How do I know? I’ve been doing it for 7 years, have lots of regular clients, and great reviews on RentMasseur. Good luck, it’s a fantastic job if you put the effort in.

Prepare yourself for being invited into situations or being with people not in your fantasy.

Every fantasy is romanticized to specific circumstances.  Putting yourself out there into the world is a bit of a crap shoot.  And if you get too picky, then you will risk getting a bad rep

That may be a sign that you have talent. If you think it's something that you would enjoy doing, all the better. If I were you, I would seek professional training. The last thing you'll want to do is hurt somebody, and also hurt yourself for doing something illegal, if you happen to get caught.

You can't charge for sex.

You can charge for a massage, and have sex with that person and accept a substantial tip "for the amazing massage" 😉.

Yes, but you can't charge for a massage if you don't have a license in most(all?) states. Hell, at my gym a trainer got in trouble with his boss for using a massage gun on a client.
