liubit Posted June 11 Posted June 11 I always use my real first name with providers as well as with non-commercial hookups, and make it clear to them. Whether my partner gives me his name is entirely up to him, I don’t ask because I don’t really think it’s any of my business. thomas, MikeBiDude and + ApexNomad 3
Whippoorwill Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I always use my real given and family names, cell phone number, and email. I find most (but not all) providers soon give their real name, age, and other details. I had one long term provider who had his diplomas/certificates hanging on the wall. It establishes a two way level of trust that I really like. I am not ashamed, you have no reason to be, we are both exposing our bodies and the most intimate details of our sex lives to each other, we are engaged in a business relationship involving mutual trust. It definitely increases the level of intimacy for me. + ApexNomad, liubit and + DrownedBoy 2 1
Kevin Slate Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I recently met with one provider I have seen periodically for over five years. He's a well known porn star and I've known his real name all along. I was surprised when he asked me to use his real name when I last saw him. He said that he uses his profile name to meet with people but once he walks in the door he's just himself. He did say that if I preferred to use his porn and profile name that was fine with him but he invited me to use his real name in our conversations. I don't know how other providers feel about it. Is this a reasonable desire It depends on the provider. Some providers have other jobs, some providers don't want their families to know so they go by a pseudonym. Keep in mind that providers are performers/entertainers providing a fantasy for their clients. Knowing their real name and knowing more about them could kill the fantasy. Trevor and MikeBiDude 2
