Exactly this is how a sugar daddy - kept man relationship usually end!

I am a libertarian at heart - more freedom is better than less freedom...but when it comes to hard drugs (as I define it) I face facts. That stuff is toxic and it poisons the well for everyone around it. 😑

I feel sorry for the landlord who went to the trouble to get a lawyer’s letter warning after 6 months that the boarder’s possessions would be disposed of as being deemed abandoned. The judge seems to have disregarded this move that the landlord took to protect himself  while reclaiming his space that he had previously rented out. It seems very unfair that the tenant was awarded any damages.

Welcome to the world of being a landlord in NY or CA. Judges will rule in favor of the tenet 99% of the time. Regardless of the laws. If you own rental property in NY or CA, you’re in for a world of pain. And god help you if you rent to a single mother. She basically has free housing until the kid is 18. A judge will never make a single mother homeless…..ever.

On the topic at hand, anyone with access to the internet knew this kid was bad news. The landlords are morons who either got enamored with the Calvin Klein connection, the kid’s "good looks", or both. Based on the age difference in the landlord couple, I’m willing to bet this isn’t the first time pop-pops let his dick do the thinking. And other than nailing 80’s fashion, Calvin isn’t exactly know for his smart decisions. Then again, let’s not forget, without the Calvin Klein connection, this isn’t really "news". In fact even with it, it’s just sensationalism masquerading as journalism.

As much as most of us agree with the statement the constant blaming /mocking the victims gets annoying.

I love how people detach from their own poor decisions. "The drugs followed me", "-You were selling drugs at the time", "-I was in the drug industry".

He's a piece of self-entitled garbage.

It's like when folks weigh 300 lbs. and don't know how that happened....

Instead of selling drugs he could sell his own body and make a fortune, unfortunately he will never have the work ethic to escort!

I've never been a landlord, but I have been a tenant in one of the cities viewed as most favorable to tenants.  Yes, there are a lot of tenant protections in San Francisco and California generally.  That doesn't mean everything always goes the tenant's way, though.  From some landlords I've known, I know it isn't true to no one gets evicted, even single mothers.  Is the eviction process easy or quick?  No.  But I don't think stating that certain people get to live rent free forever is honest.  As to my much less onerous experience where things went the landlord's way and not mine, a building I had moved into sold within a year.  Almost immediately, the landlord removed the laundry room and just stuck the washers and driers in a utility room that wasn't kept clean.  He expanded the small studio apartment that had been above the laundry room into a two-level 1 bedroom apartment, doubling the rent in the process.  However, he petitioned the rent board for a capital improvements passthrough that included all of the costs incurred in converting that space to something that generated additional revenue.  Also, on paper the landlord was a single guy operating as an LLC and a lot of additional operating expense increases he also requested to to passthrough were to his live-in boyfriend who wasn't even providing some of the services they claimed (like cleaning the common areas twice per week and gardening).  They got everything they asked for, which taught me the lesson that if a landlord makes up fake documents (such as his "contract" to pay his boyfriend), it won't matter what a tenant has to say.  While this was going on I researched them online and discovered that some court in New York City had banned them from being landlords due to their long history of tenant abuses.  Obviously they sold their buildings and just moved to a new location to start screwing over people here.  After just a few short years, there were many negative comments about them online regarding their rental business here (mostly about stealing people's security deposits).  Sure enough, when I moved out I didn't get my deposit back.  Fortunately I was smart enough about the law so I simply waited the required time and then sent them a demand letter, advising them of my right to seek treble damages in small claims court and told them that I would do so if I didn't have the full refund in hand within 5 days.  I got my check.

Unfortunately, reality/facts don't matter and certain negative narratives about certain states must go on no matter what.

Gee, he's only 34 now.

I guess he'll be around for a while! Why doesn't he just escort or goes back to porno!

He could still make a lot of money!

Maybe he wants to remain in the spotlight and become a reality TV star.
