Flying around the country and paying for hotels comes with a cost. 

If a client doesn’t show for a session that’s all well and good but if a service provider has scheduled time out of their life to prioritize the request of client, turning down other opportunities and not charging them for the days of travel it took to get there and back, then having received no deposit would simply leave the service provider with a substantial financial deficit.

The deposit shows me someone is serious about their commitment and also covers me so that if something unexpected arises in their lives, at least I’m not left making a trip for nothing.

The deposit you’re requesting is $550. 
Have you considered that some potential client would naively send that deposit, all to be ghosted?

I also hear that this is something that happens (maybe even often?) on these directories?

I can only speak for myself. This work is my sole source of income. As such, I hold my professional reputation and integrity in very high regard. Otherwise my offering wouldn’t have gathered much momentum over time.

I imagine some people thinking that a statement like that is still no reassurance…

The only thing I can say to that (for me personally, I’m not talking about everyone) is that Sacred Eros is a highly vetted platform that’s been around for a long time. Unlike many other platforms, they don’t just accept anyone’s application and if they heard someone was a scammer that person wouldn’t be on their platform for very long. 

Still not trying to convince you or anyone, just sharing my voice in the conversation once again.

There is a manner of making him disappear, stop coming to this site.  To chase someone away because you disagree with them is what is toxic.  You can walk away and not turn back and let those others who are getting something out of this back and forth continue their ping pong game.  So this is proibably my last post here, but tolerance for the right of others to express an opinion which is different from yours used to be a foundation of the United States and I hate to see that disappearing in and out of this forum.

You can’t just slap a bit of paste on and stick it up, job done mate. Not for $555 per hour (minimum 2 hours).
