I had no idea this was going on, really sucks.

Years ago, Aaron Lawrence told Hooboy that his site couldn't accept payments from clients or escorts for exactly the reason you guys are laying out, undo pressure.

Aaron Lawrence

<going off topic> oh, that name brings back memories...way way back I discovered his web site.  And then, one day, he asked his readers to vote for him (as escort of the year?) on hooboy's site...and now, as a result, I'm here.  Maybe Aaron Lawrence deserves his own thread.

AL has been discussed a lot over the years, but not so much on this latest incarnation of the board.

Frankly, a lot of the history about Hooboy was lost or forgotten.

That always made me sad, considering it was HB who put this whole show together in the first place.  He and Aaron Lawrence, to be exact.

I'd like to see a proper memorial thread for both Daddy AND Hoo.

No shit, especially given how hurt and frustrated many users were over the transfer of estate and power.

I mention Hoo and AL as often as I (safely) can.

And NOW, back to the thread about the questionable practices on a website (it's not this one) I dare not disparage, given I make a living advertising on it .

I didn't know, or didn't remember, that AL was involved with creating this site's predecessor.  If you -- or anyone else -- knows more, I (for one), would love to hear about it.  [My intention was not to create a long excursus in the original topic -- if one of our tech experts can create a new topic on this subject, preserving these few posts, please feel free to do so with my thanks.]

He was a close friend, and therefore adviser to Hoo, that's all, no big story :-)

I got the negative review reinstated. After a bit of work.  Here are the steps (I will post it in a new thread too):

1. Write the negative review and post it to RM.

2. The provider can challenge it by saying he never met you. He can do this by claiming you and he never met. He can demonstrate this by showing that no chats took place in the RM app/tool.

3. RM will review the issue. In my case, no chats took place in the RM app. So my review was removed.

4. I sent a chat to the RM Webmaster (RMW) asking why they removed the negative review which was accurate. RMW said see No. 3.

5. I said well… we chatted outside RM. The providers list their WhatsApp and Phones. Communication often happens outside RM chat. I also said it’s critical for the platform to be a trusted source of providers, and if they kept removing negative reviews then their reliability will fall.

6. RMW said show the chats by screenshot and send to the RMW. Also need to show providers phone numbers comparing RM and Chat.

7.  Review reinstated.

8.  Provider now reaching out to talk things over and make amends.

Are you willing to rescind the review if he tries to make it up to you? If no, then it’s best not to engage.

I think you had two good experiences with him prior (an assumption on my part, based on another thread). That suggests you enjoyed the experiences since you were willing to repeat. So… give him a chance to make it right? Caveat, if you said ahead of time “no drugs” and that was the reason for the negative experience, walk away. Just my opinion of course.

Whatever you do, trust what your gut is telling you.

I tend to avoid giving second chances as I've most often found myself regretting it afterward.

I won’t give a second chance in my case; meaning I’ll never meet him again. He wants to discuss and make amends (e.g. refund) so that I agree to take down the negative review.  He said he was physiologically challenged the night we met; he over extended himself before he came over even though we had set it up two days prior. That’s what makes me mad. On the other hand, I could get a refund and move on.
