ICTJOCK
So I had a client last week if I do "gift cards"? The client was inquiring if he books an hour (or stated period) of time for another person (as a Christmas gift), if I will provideservice in that way. I don't really have an issue, provided I know a bit before doing something like that. I just ask if I wear my Santa cap and red underwear. He said that would be a nice bonus. Nothing more has been said. We'll see. dbar123, marylander1940, Your Man in Arlington and 5 others 3 2 1
viewing ownly
I can see why this would be frowned upon. Nothing screams mood kill more than dialing up a toll free number to verify if the funds are actually there. 😆 Also, this would not at all be something I would accept, as I learned from giving a cash gift card as a gratuity. The company I bought the gift card from had me register the number to activate it, and after I gave it as a gift, sent me a replacement card to my address! I'm presuming the masseur either threw it in a drawer or in the trash, since when I called to do a balance check many months after that massage, it was still full. The point is, you may have a balance today, but the gift giver may have that card's # information, and wipe it out before you get a chance. soloyo215

BananaBagel
I booked one of my favorites as a birthday gift for a friend once. I went over for the start. Quick kiss to both of them and left an envelope on the table for the provider. They both contacted me later and said it went well. Simon Suraci
I was just thinking about this last week. My booking system offers digital gift cards. All I have to do is set it up. It’s a quick easy seamless way to gift my services to someone. I keep thinking it’s a little weird, that clients wouldn’t use it. Maybe I should reconsider setting up gift cards? soloyo215, BonVivant and Your Man in Arlington 2

Nothing more has been said. We'll see. Just my thoughts: Gift cards are nothing more than someone paying for some good for another person. I have paid a provider for other people, just not in the form of a gift card. I think it's cute, and also a way of getting new clients (if you want more clients, that is). In my humble opinion, it could work if there's a level of trust between you and that client. I could also see how it could be challenging since the provider might not know who the card recipient is, so the logistics of the initial conversation has to be handled too. Additionally, just because I have a great time with a provider, doesn't mean that my friend will too. People have different preferences. A Visa gift card can be spent on anything, but a provider gift card can only be redeemed by the provider. That difference is where I believe it could become challenging. I'd be curious to know how it goes if any provider(s) decide to go with that idea. ICTJOCK and Your Man in Arlington

maninsoma
The only time I paid for a provider for someone else's birthday ended up not being so great (from my perspective), so I wouldn't do it again. It's not a bad idea if you can work out the logistics (not terribly difficult) and you know that the gift recipient is interested in the provider in question. There's no way I'd want such a gift if it was just a friend who knows me and knows I've hired escorts who selected someone based on their idea of who's appealing. I have one such friend who frequently shows me ads for guys and, for the most part, they don't appeal to be either because of looks or because of the written content in their ads. soloyo215

DWnyc
I’ve prepaid providers for others a few times (eg for a now-deceased sick friend), - always with regular providers where I was able to discuss the situation and their comfort. I gave them donations beforehand and set parameters for my friends which I asked them to enforce if there was a misunderstanding. These mostly went well - one provider explained the friend didn't seem to understand it was an engagement and had to be almost thrown out - I guess that can happen if you’re not the one handing over the donation. Another provider told me I was overthinking it, let events take their course when the two meet. One friend got nervous and left well before the session ended; I reassured the provider he could keep the donation. Unless the provider is screening for any specific things where the 3rd person would not qualify there shouldn’t be an issue if donations are taken care of. Enabled me To do something nice for providers as lt would Be more than what they’d get from me otherwise.

Like you, he is a MT (I think it's a significantly different scenario that getting an escorts gift card). On 12/10/2023 at 4:18 PM, BuffaloKyle said: I wanna be friends with you client @ICTJOCK! Calling the provider, as apposed to looking him up online, would offer no clue that he offers more than a typical massage. Jamie21
I’ve had guys enquire about booking me to massage their wife, as a surprise. Sometimes they ask about giving her a gift card so she can book a massage. It almost never works out because a) often it’s his fantasy not hers or b) I don’t go surprises so I need to speak to her to book the session which rather makes the surprise gift part of it pointless. I don’t do gift cards because of this. It’s such a personal service that the buyer really needs to make the decision themselves not have someone else decide for them. Best to give your beneficiary the money direct and recommend the provider that they spend it on. Then they genuinely have a choice.
