I'm fine with the changes, they did it because they can and it's business as usual for me. I'm not moaning about it. I would have liked them to notify me that they were going to gather my nudes and put them in a premium gallery but they didn't and oh well.  In some ways it's better, you can argue that maybe premium clients are a bit more serious not just less discreet. Que sera sera

I may be wrong, but they do not charge for viewing the videos. They charge for a premium membership with access to the videos, among other perks. 

When providers complain about these things, I think they are misdirecting their energies. Instead, get organized. Develop an alternative. Advocate for decriminalization.

I completely agree with you on that. However, to see nudes you have to pay and by that I mean they make you buy a premium client membership to view anything explicit so there is a charge where one didn't exist before.

We need to “policy” ourselves and also communicate. Write to RentMen. I write to RentMass and RentM several times a year with my concerns and questions about what’s going on with the site. We don’t need to just wait around for a White man 👨🏻‍💼 or Black woman 🧑🏾‍💼 in a suit to give us “approval”. That’s not making it about race but just saying, like…we don’t need decrim, legalization, any of that shit. We also don’t need their rules and regulations running the ship either. 
 

We need respect, freedom and proper self policing. Just like being gay has moved past “decriminalized” and now is just an accepted way of living. That’s all I want. They can keep politics out of our pants lol.

One of my favorite escorts complained about a new RM photo policy and I confirmed that he’s correct. Unless you are logged in you can no longer see dick photos on the main pages. Other photos remain visible. Looks like the same rule applies to butt hole photos. They all appear after you log in. I always log in and can admire all of him, but he’s disappointed that non paying users can’t get the full picture of what they could hire.

with only accepting Bitcoin they wont have to pay cc processing fees and can fully avoid any possible taxation on their profits.   
 

Why / How can they make these "painful" business decisions to their members/escorts ?   They have a near total monopoly and can get away with it.   
 

Yes, they will lose advertisers & paying members but the amount of savings will be lucrative and off set any possible defections.

I thanked them for their new rules. If these changes will ensure their continued financial viability so they can remain in business, they should be congratulated for implementing them. If necessary, they should make further changes.
Rentmen.com should continue to focus on serving the needs of those who support them, namely the escorts and paying members. Despite what some here may think, Rentmen is a business, not a charity.

That’s why it’s always important to never put too much stake in one advertising platform. I’ve seen it with Craigslist, Men4Rent, Rentboy, Adam, Backpage, HourBoy, and now RentMen. Every site is bound to change or do something different than what we’re used to, and it doesn’t even surprise or scare me anymore.

Sooner or later another site will come up!

Rentmen won't rule forever! Being able to pay some spare change $ a month might allow some verified members to place reviews and I'm ok with that considering all the escorts who were posting fake reviews. But not being able to see "the goods" as posted in another thread shouldn't be a matter or privilege for those who don't mind their CC information be store in a site that's borderline illegal.

There's Grindr fatigue... guys get horny and go to RM to hire. Maybe not all of them but even young guys now are realizing it's better to pay for what they want whenever they want it and with quality instead of paying with their time, spending 4 hours trying to get laid.

Actually manhunt robbed escorts from clients because guys had to sit, search, reply, etc... while Grindr is just one more app to check while at the supermarket, walking, chilling, etc. 

 

Manhunt required an effort even if it was one more page  open in a PC, while on Grindr most folks are simply multitasking hanging out with friends, watching TV, walking, etc.

If rentmen were paid in crypto currency instead of cash, only six hundred euros ANNUALLY are exempt from income tax in Germany where rentmen is co-based in Holland.

Totally understand, which is why I assume in the minority. The most important physical feature when deciding whether to make a booking is actually a guy's face.
