yes, 1K is change to some people but not to 99% of us.

Why do you assume that kind of money is likely to come from a trust fund? Most multi-millionaires and billionaires made their own money.

Some folks would spend 1,000 or more in a bottle of wine why not spending it in hiring an exclusive guy who most clients can't afford? 

I'd hire him for 1 k but I doubt he can deliver the boyfriend experience with most guys who don't look like him.

A Grand Canyon gap separates the well-to-do and from the billionaire class.  To be in the top 1% of net worth, one needs only $5.8 million.  $5.8M ain't chump change, but I would have guessed the cutoff for the top 1% a LOT higher than that.

By the way, according to both Forbes and UBS, about 70% of billionaires are self-made, 30% inherited.

Judging by the responses in this thread and the "most you've ever paid" thread, I'm guessing there are no billionaires on this forum.  Or if so, they're awfully quiet.
