There was a strip club in Puerto Vallarta that was notorious for charging a customer's tab to his credit card then saying the charge didn't go through and demanding to be paid in cash.  The customer would later learn that the charge did indeed go through, and that he double paid and couldn't dispute it with his credit card company.  I almost fell in to that trap once, but spent time calling my credit card company to confirm the transaction did go through and refused to pay cash as well.  It was only later that I read reviews and discovered that this was happening to other customers frequently.

Now I never cary credit cards. I only use cash.

I have not asked to review any of these club's accounting books, or any of the dancers' paychecks, so I do not know.

Private dances are in a private space.  I've also had fun with public dances in public on the main floor.

I'm in PV now and last night went to the new B-Mine Bar. Great place, similar setup, diverse dancers (some bear types). Of all the people I hooked up with the Bouncer.

The place has the open dance floor, VIP rooms, and playrooms where one can do more. It's in the same corridor where the others are.

The place is great, new and very welcoming.

Last night I went club hopping in PV and stopped by Club 69. I was not impressed, unfortunately. The facilities look great, but the guys there look like they were missing their mobile phones. Bored and boring and not engaging at all. At first I thought that it was just me, but then I saw them there just lined up sitting and conversing with each other, not paying attention to the patrons. Strange.

Wet Dreams had too many clients and not enough guys (Saturday night, I guess). The place looks great, though I saw some old woman there doing some kind of work on a computer. She was right next to the wet dancer. Odd location.  Some of the guys go around asking for tips in exchange of touching their dicks. They were friendly and not pushy. They were just not enough guys.

Tried to get in at CC Slaughters, but didn't make it because it was infested with women all over the place. I so hate this trend of women hijacking places meant for gay men. Not the vibe I'm interested in.

Ended up at the B-mine again, and had a great time with a young muscle guy. It was less crowded and the guys are always very engaging, friendly, diverse and hot. It's a new club so the staff is also very accommodating. Great atmosphere.

I had a great time at Anthropology years ago. Would definitely go back, and also check out the other places mentioned in this thread. I love the strip clubs in PV. What a blast! Wet Dreams I was unimpressed last time I visited, but it was probably an off time (day) and it was still too early in the evening, so I’ll give it another go next trip.

Wet Dreams was fun last night (Sunday).  It had a nice ratio of dancers to customers (about 1:2), and the shower show always impresses.

It’s been fun to watch the live feed of 69 on Facebook. I catch glimpses of the dancers. I wish Wet had similar amenities to help us prepare! I just can’t wait to discovered the muscle that is in PV for the holidays!

The dancers do get commissions for the drinks you buy them. At 69, they hand them chips for each drink you buy and they cash them in at the end of the night. At Wet Dreams, I think they get a percentage but not sure how it works.

I have been to Antropolgie, Wet Dreams and 69 routinely over the last several years. I think Antropologie just had a remodel done. It was open in May but closed when I was back in October. I have had some fun experiences in Antropolgie, have had sex with dancers upstairs during privates but in general am less impressed with the variety of dancers. Last time I was there a very young looking guy attached himself to me and despite telling him I wasn't interested I could not get rid of him.

Wet Dreams has a lot of dancers and on slow nights they will either corner you and all work you or completely ignore you. I have established arrangements with a few of them. Some I have maintained contact with in between visits to Mexico. They, of course, continue asking for money. I will send a little every now and then but nothing excessive. Some of the guys at Wet are so incredible, tall, muscular and beautiful. It can be overwhelming and some get a little put off if you are direct and let them know you won't be doing a private with them. I have had sex with several in the back over the years. One of my regulars decided to stop talking to me because was upset I was talking to another dancer and then blocked me on all his social media. It was rather confusing. I am never bored there will keep going back. The lady at the bar near the shower gives change but she will only give change for about $40 use at a time, which sucks. The ATM outside the club only gives out US currency.

 

69 has a great variety of dancers. They can be pushy about drinks. Some will come and attach themselves to you when you sit down. I don't mind buying a few drinks but sometimes they invite friends to join, or I am kissing and playing with some dancer and another one will come sit on the other side and start asking for drinks when it is clear I am occupied. I do like the servers, they are friendly. The emcee loudly reminds people to tip or get out, which seems to offend people that are not used to the place. Usually a dance is 500 pesos for the room and the dancer expects AT LEAST another 500 pesos and usually will want more if you have had any sexual contact (same deal at Wet). I have a regular there that I really enjoy and usually spend most of the night at his side. A few of the dancers have a bit of an attitude there and get bothered if you don't want to do a private. I have gone on a couple slow nights when my favorites were not working and agreed to do privates with guys that did not seem to into it. It was disappointing and clear they did not want me touching their dicks, they didn't want to get fully nude and I was like, what is the point?

 

Went to B-Mine when it first opened. It was a slow night and I was talking to a very friendly dancer. He was super nice and I bought him a couple drinks but I wasn't sure what the protocol was and was having such a good talk with the guy that I felt a little shy about suggesting we do a private and ruining the vibe we had. I will be back next month and want to explore B-Mine more.

It's the new normal.  With cultural acceptance comes all the odds & ends of the deal.  

CC's front video bar is always fun, women or not.  They play a campy, fun mix of stuff.

That said, I do understand how females in a gay bar can really change the environment...  But I don't see that changing.

I always let them know I don't appreciate crowds of women. Sometimes they let women into 69 but they usually they appear to be friends of the staff and hang out upstairs and tend to behave.

Finally here in PV for the weekend. I haven’t been to PV in 8 years so this is all “new” for me.

Friday and Saturday night were a blast. certainly have my opinions but they are definitely biased towards what I prefer. I’ll hold off until I get back to the US to post a full account but I will definitely be thorough!

Friday Night was a quick tour through the three bars: BMine, 69, and Wet Dreams. We passed through BMine and left within 5 minutes.  I had the most fun at 69 and could have spent the whole night there. We finished the night at Wet and I enjoyed the dancers but we were tired for the first night. 

Saturday we got a late start because of some other shenanigans earlier in the afternoon (more on that later). We only went to 69 for about an hour and a half and it was an incredible time! It was exactly what I had hoped I would experience in PV and the boys didn’t disappoint!

69's current lineup has a much healthier balance of body types. The muscle hunks are still there along with a good offering of twink/twunk dancers.

The uncomfortable pushiness I experienced during my first visit last year was completely nonexistent. The only non solicited tip requests were those from the pole dancers immediately after performing a show for the whole club  - which I think is more than reasonable.

Overall a far more relaxed vibe. And the new body types were a welcome sight for me. I had a wonderful time.

I presume these factors vary seasonally.

Has anyone experienced or negotiated 69's private rooms for more than 10 minutes? The time goes by so fast once you get down the stairs & seems rushed if you want more than just a dance. Not sure how to navigate this & wanted to see if anyone has advice?

As far as paying the 'fine' so the guys can leave the club, does that work the same way as a private room where you basically pay the club manager the base cost and then it's on you to figure out the rest with the guy?
