I paid for premium last December because I wanted to post a review and realized that you now have to pay to post reviews. Reviews are a way for me to keep score and track my conquests so I have to periodically resub every couple of months. I'm definitely not paying for a recurring membership as a client.

Well I'm never going to be a premium member again. I'd be ok if it went up to 10.99 or 11.99 but double what it used to be all of a sudden is not right.

The sudden huge increase in membership may be a sign of financial stress and a lack of sustainability of the current business model.

I don't know what the monthly fee was for the basic, gold, and platinum ads for providers. I'd like to know if anything changed with those as well.

I think there are three ways to use Rentmen......just be a lurker and not register or join (free)........be a "basic" member (free)........or be a "premium" member ($19.95/mo).....

For the longest time I was a lurker on there. I think I signed up when the option was taken away to view provider's pvt pics with a password. And like I've stated before on here by having a client page it saves a ton of time by not having to relay all my stats and likes and interests. I can direct the provider to my page for all that.

No disrespect meant - and we’re kind of all in the same boat - but is it really a “conquest” if the interaction is obtained this way?

I've been a premium member for a number of years and a basic member before then since they started. I currently pay $9.99CDN a month which is around $7US. My last invoice from them this month credited that amount in payment and ssid my next payment was due in Mar. No mention of a fee increase and I couldn't find it elsewhere on the site.

Can the op indicate when and where this was announced?

It wasn't, that's my point.  I usually pay for membership once or twice a year; when I went to sign up it was $19.99 instead of the usual $9.99.  Sneaky.

I was unaware of the fee increase until I arrived at this forum and post at 12:50 P.M. on Monday, the 20th of February.  It looks like Rentmen will lose another previously subscribed member.  I didn't relish paying the $9.00+ rate, so this exorbitant increase has done it for me.

If I am interested in a particular escort at that site, I'll go to the "Deli" to inquire, or just take my chances on the men of interest who are at that site.

I wonder how much extra money they'll be making on this with the number of guys that won't be renewing their subscriptions. I guess they're banking on not losing 50% of their paying memberships. This stinks now too because there will be less reviews on the site. But this is where the forum will come into play to vet providers.

I think their transition to 7.0 (or whatever) still has kinks.  I've been a free lurker, never have paid for membership.  When I looked today (7.0) it said I was a Premium member, but could not see premium photos.  When I looked at it in 6.0, it said I was a Free client.

I'm going to miss the semi-private pictures, the videos, the few additional stats, and whatever else Premium offers, but $240/year is a lot.....I'll back off to the "Basic" level and see if I can stand it!

Rentmasseur's (owned by same group) premium level doesn't seem to be going up, right??
