samhexum
A German newspaper critic had animal feces smeared on her face in the city of Hannover by a ballet director who apparently took offense at a review she wrote. The Hannover state opera house apologized for the incident and said Monday that it was suspending ballet director Marco Goecke with immediate effect. https://www.aol.com/news/german-ballet-director-suspended-feces-203041012.html + augustus and pubic_assistance 1

I am guessing Goecke's award winning 2015 choreography "Thin Skin" was autobiographical 😉 samhexum, prof, thomas and 1 other 1
ICTJOCK
Perhaps the director is just into drama....lol
+ sync
The director must be a big draw to be getting off with a suspension.
+ azdr0710
Max Reger (1873-1916), German composer, had this to say to a reviewer...... “I am sitting in the smallest room of my house. I have your review before me. In a moment it shall be behind me.” Edited August 22, 2023 by azdr0710 prof, thomas, + nycman and 4 others 2 2
+ purplekow
This seems very odd. The ballet director runs into the critic in the ballet house, confronts her and then smears her face with dog feces he is carrying around with him in a bag. I suppose the ballet director could have just returned from walking his dog and therefore had some fresh dog doings on hand. The director is not fired for his actions, but rather is directed to give an apology in the next few days. This whole story stinks, of a publicity stunt. Requires further analysis. Coulda been swan droppings close at hand. Edited August 23, 2023 by SirBillybob
+ purplekow
Do they use real swans in Swan Lake? Why would there be swans at a ballet house otherwise. The article did mention he took the fecal material out of a bag. Perhaps they have a vending machine with all sorts of shit in it. SirBillybob
He admitted it was from his “elderly dachshund” and he had intended to dispose of it (though what does canine age have to do with it?) Anyway he was sacked (February), the ballet director that is, not the pooch. We already know the poo was sacked. Regarding the vending machine idea it’s possible this classic European bar is sold there. Edited August 24, 2023 by SirBillybob + nycman
