Channing Tatum: A List?

The letter-rating applies to scale of Celebrity. Every single Kardashian creature is considered “A List” in spite of having a deficit of talent.

Quality of films usually defines actor’s considered work. B-Movie actors often do great work, but the movies stay in narrow release and usually make less profit.  Tatum is A-List because of the films he’s in also drawing A-List cast mates up front. I think I’d most love to see him in silents.

Like young Mr Phillippe?

@WilliamM, if you were responding to @jeezifonly's last sentence, then HELL NO! The ex-Mr. Witherspoon's voice is his second greatest asset.

I just saw Foxcatcher this week about the Du Pont scandal and the two wrestling brothers.  Tatum plays the younger one.  Shows some skin, I think maybe his butt, but all the guys in the wrestling outfits is hot (yea, I've always had a thing for wrestlers...woof!).  Good movie, too.  Took me a while to figure out who was playing Du Pont, too.

At any rate, Tatum's performance was ok since the character is pretty stoic and that's probably not that hard to play for an actor.

Akin to Fantasy Football, I have an imaginary Stable of Studs, populated by porn stars, actors, several waiters of my acquaintance, and an assortment of casually ogled men on the street. Channing is one of my most frequent and cherished companions as I drift off into my dreams of delight and debauchery.

I agree that much of his appeal lies in his looks and physique, handsome and muscular. But in his acting, I find he can present as vulnerable, charming, funny, and likeable. And his talent as a dancer is, I think, unarguable. Ultimately, however, I think any A-List status would come from hire-ability based on box office sales potential. It is, after all, called show business.

He’s solid B list mostly because of his looks.

The Kardshian whores?….D list….at best.

Sorry, talent still factors into "celebrity status" in my book.

It does in mine as well, but our books have no bearing on who gets invited to Academy Awards, Grammys, The Met Gala, NBA Championship games, Super Bowl and all the Red Fuckin’ Carpets that happen at the opening of an envelope. 🤣🤣

My partner and I saw "Bullet Train" about 10 days ago.  At the risk of a mild spoiler, I recall him asking "Is this a sex thing?" twice, and has such a small part in the movie that I did not notice him listed in the cast credits at the end.  It is possible to read the scene differently than what Stormy said (e.g. like a straight body builder open to the idea of muscle worship for pay, but not necessarily advocating for it).

forgot to carp with the notion of "interested".
