Any experience with Sam Banks?

I was seriously thinking of meeting him (SamBanks - Pornstar Performer, Rentboy, Gay Massage in Palm Springs, CA | RentMen)

But then I read this tweet on his twitter account:

I’m so fucking tired of sex work. These old rich white men…they really need to be put in their fucking place."

What are your reactions?

This from a provider who describes himself as hot, cool, versatile and (wait for it) sweet.

The only speculation I would make there is that it isn't something he's worried about, since the post hasn't been deleted.

Funny, I saw "Sam Banks" and was thinking "Calvin Banks", though I guess Calvin isn't escorting these days.

My hunch is that this is a marketing ploy trope. The working class younger stud ready to put the older rich guy/ potential benefactor in his place by physical and financial domination. Plenty of rich white men might see it as a turn on.

In my view, that’s a very generous interpretation @Leyte2019

I’d take it at face value when he stated:

I knew of someone very similar a couple of years ago. I was friendly with a hot personal trainer (I was interested in him but hadn’t done anything). I mentioned him casually and a friend of mine confirmed he was ‘gay for pay’ but cautioned that the trainer had said that he found “having sex with old men repulsive”.

There are too many guys, not just on OF, who don’t want to work hard but expect others to pay their bills. I’ve no problem with a hot young man trying to monetize his physique, but he better be very friendly and perform well if he wants my money.

Sam here!  Just to clear this up…the tweet mentioned above was in response to a potential client who reached out to me claiming to be the Vice President of Wells Fargo, bragging excessively about being rich.  When he asked me my rate for an overnight session and didn’t like the amount i quoted him ($1500) he began to insult me and say that I wasn’t hot enough to charge that much and threw a couple other very harsh and unwarranted insults at me.  I pride myself on treating my clients with a lot of care, sensitivity and affection.  But I’m human and people can be nasty and my feelings were hurt so instead of thinking I’m evil or mean maybe consider that someone disrespected me and i reacted.

I agree with Msclver and Sam. Both sides need to be nice. Each has something that the other one desires. As for Sam's comments... Sam do you have any idea how many vice presidents Wells Fargo has ? probably more than the number of guys on RM. And you probably make more than most of them. In the world of finance, titles are cheap. And anyone that berates you because he can't afford you, whether the amount is fair or not is a jerk. I would love a Bentley Bentanya, but at $300K I can't afford it. Is it worth it, maybe. maybe not. Is yelling obscenities at the Bentley dealer going to change anything, not really. By the way Sam you have a great photographer and look to be a real sweetheart of a guy. I get to LA a few times a year, I'll look you up. Promise not to title insult you !

Hey Sam,

Glad you came on here to share your side of the story. I see too many guys on here talk about providers like they're meat. So I can imagine what you have to tolerate. I've had only occasional sketchy interactions with providers. Mostly, they've been very good or sometimes awkward. But I always emphasize that we're all human and have good and bad days.

Sam

Thanks for responding to my post about your tweet.  I appreciate hearing your side of the story.

But I'm wondering:  Why did it take you 6 months to respond to my post about a tweet you made 10 months ago?

I don't wanna put words in Sam's mouth, but I'd guess it might be because you asked in a forum he wasn't even aware existed.
