Because I would not go to a country where they didn't recognize our legal relationship, in case there were a situation such as a medical emergency in which I needed to make decisions for my spouse.

I never really thought of it from the perspective of medical care for a gay spouse in a foreign country.
Even the idea is a little frightening. Although I’ve often been stunned at how open minded medical
communities in conservative countries can be behind closed doors, I wouldn’t want to have to rely
on the kindness of strangers in such a situation.

I would "keep it in my pants", I wouldn't bring my laptop and I would assume if it's too good to be true... to avoid entrapment.

Exactly. I flew to Russia on my own in 2005 - enjoyed the art museums and walking around St. Petersburg.

But, I admit itit was a relief to fly to Munich eight days later.  However, Munich can't match the Hermitage Museum in Russia.

Well, I'm not as concerned as some (for example, "Chris"), but I won't travel anywhere if I have to leave my laptop and J/O material at home, that's for sure. 🙄

Even for a week or so?  For "Chris" who may never have a chance again?  Go to St Petersburg Russia during the White Nights in June when there is only a few hours of darkness

There seem to be tons of gay models who seem to be living in the UAE. I suspect there's some Emir or other extremely rich man who's taking care of them. I'd love to know how those deals work out.

An Italian friend of mine lived for work in Dubai for 2 years. Of course it's not legal, but he told me that there are quite a few "Massage for men" places with gorgeous masseurs, where sex is part of the deal...

A Foreign (or even domestic) destination that is notably anti-gay is a non-starter.

The company in tow trumps all no matter what. Unless we can be imprisoned for being

Cruises? Never again.

Road trips? Love ‘em! 10 day max. Only with others who love road trips.

Obligatory family trips are only way to get me on board a plane.

I much prefer hosting friends and family who like to get OOT to the gay-loving Land of La! 🕶️

Dubai has freaky anti-gay laws. Even straight unmarried couples can be arrested for holding hands in public. Yet look at all the Gay or gay4pay muscle there now: Dubai, Pornstar Performers Gay Massage, RentMen & Gay PornStarts | RentMen

I wonder if there's a vice squad in the UAE that goes after this type of activity. There certainly seems to be a large number of models, personal trainers, etc., who seem to be taken care of in Dubai. I'd be extremely frightened if law enforcement authorities went after escorts, etc. The punishments seem pretty severe...

With all your connections, why worry, Unicorn.

I'm guess that it's no big deal until it is. What if a UAE citizen wanted harsh S&M and the guy ends up hurting or killing the client. It would explode in his face and probably cause a wave of arrests because of angry uptight citizens.
