uclablueyes
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes just in case. So I went to NY and made an appointment with a guy on RM to come to my hotel. When he showed up, he wasn’t the guy on the profile. At first I was taken a little aback as I didn’t know what to do. I was concerned that if I said that he should leave, he could create a big fuzz or report me to the hotel, so I let him in. I wasn’t that interested in him so I just pretended that I wasn’t feeling that well, paid him and he left. Two days later I checked out and I reported it to RM (I didn’t want to do it before just in case they notified him and he would have come back for me.) What would you guys have done in my place? These situations are really uncomfortable…
DasMarquee
It's easier if it's an outcall I would just walk out (actually I recall doing it twice because of fake profiles). It happened at my hotel once and I paid him USD 100 and asked him to leave. pubic_assistance
+ nycman
Let me walk you through this one…. ”I’m sorry, I was expecting someone else" (shuts door) <End scene> He knows he’s scamming you and you’re hotel doesn’t give a flying fuck that you hire whores…trust me. He’s counting on you being a weak ass faggot…..don’t be a weak ass faggot. If he creates a scene, he will be escorted off the premises by hotel security. He won’t be the first, or the last. In the future, meet first time hires on neutral turf. It’s easier to walk away. + DrownedBoy, MikeBiDude, jetlow and 18 others 9 2 9
jetlow
I meet providers in the lobby period. If its not the same person I ask him to leave . Some providers ask me for the room number : no. 100 USD? No Now I have had providers show up high on something and I can tell - in which case I may give something to cancel but not the the full amount. It’s almost better to dismiss the person completely . I am not a weak ass faggot . I am kind tho…. And yes, hotels don't care about this stuff, and if an escort tries to create a scene in a hotel, security will "escort" him from the building. rustyrex
Had this happen before, but went ahead with anyway. I made sure I was extra rough during the encounter to make a point that I didn’t appreciate the deception. 😈 + sync, BonVivant, carp86 and 2 others 1
+ keroscenefire
I agree 100 percent with hotel lobby. I do it no matter if I am meeting him there or he's meeting me there. Meet in public and if he's the guy and his vibe is fine, then come upstairs. If not, then sorry.
dcman
I never let anyone come directly to my room the first time I see them until after I have confirmed they are indeed the person in the photo. I'm very straight forward when I book them and say I will meet them in the lobby or coffee shop/bar and if they are the same person in the ad great, we will go right up to my room, if they are not, they will be asked to leave. I always do it where there is someone around so they will not be tempted to throw a punch or something. YOU have to control the situation, don't let them bully you. So hotel lobby or Starbucks etc. Check him out first to see if he looks like his pics and to get a vibe from him. So I avoid the situation where there can be a scene. I agree with you about it being our prerogative to use that word. I think it's okay for us gay and bisexual men to use the word 'faggot' among ourselves, just in the same way that it's okay for people of colour to use the N-word when speaking to each other. But it's NOT okay for straight people to say 'faggot' or for white people to use the N-word. Then it becomes homophobic and racist, respectively. uclablueyes
Thank you all for your comments and advice. From now on I will meet new providers in the lobby. Bad judgement on my part and I didn’t know what to do and didn’t want to cause a scene. + KensingtonHomo, pubic_assistance, harlow and 1 other

In the future, meet first time hires on neutral turf. It’s easier to walk away. I travel a lot and stay at a lot of different chain hotels in different cities and different countries. Over the past several years, most large hotels now require a key card to gain access to a room or to use the hotel elevator. Without such a card, a provider could not gain access to a clients room. The provider would have to be escorted up from the lobby. This means that the client would have to go to the lobby or first floor elevator to personally bring the provider to the room. If the provider is using fake photos of a different person and the client went to the lobby to bring him to the room, how would the client know who the faker is considering fake photos were used in the ad? How would the fake provider know who the client is? Hotels with elevator key card requirements are a good way for protection from fake photo providers. Any ideas about how a provider could get to a client's room without a card key for the elevator? BonVivant
Jamie21
Meet him in the lobby. No decent provider will have a problem meeting you in the lobby. Also it’s unlikely he will create a scene in the lobby when you tell him the meeting will not happen because he deceived you. If clients ask to meet me in the lobby I’m happy to do so. I dress professionally and don’t turn up with “hey I’m a sex worker” written all over me so to speak! I’ve sat in the lobby of many top end hotels in London waiting for my client to appear. It’s actually quite fun to watch people and wonder who will approach me. And I think you did the right thing to report him to the website.
